Am writing letters as I speak....
Thanks :-)
Liz0 -
Have sent the 2 letters as above today.
£21 a month is OK, but difficult at the moment as I am overdrawn (thanks to still paying all the mortgage!)

Ok
How about you write with £1 and tell them that as soon as you get the mortgage paid, you will arrange to ay £21?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

2. Get two files, one for your old HSBC current account and one for the HSBC loan and the MCS paperwork. Put everything you have into the two files and put it into date order.
Hi
I realise that you are up to your neck in it, with letter writing re the mortgageand the kids back, but how are you doing with the files?
Things have been absolutely crazy here, got to sort out a mass of numbers by Tuesday. and the NGO I help has fixed interviews for all day Wednesday when I had book a half day off!
However, I should get all 4000 round pegs into appropriate holes by the end of tomorrow.
What do you think about the £1 plus a future promise idea? Since this is a managed loan, it is important to be seen to co-operate.
And frankly if we get the amunt down to £2000-3000, whether you pay off £1 or £21 now is not going to make too much difference. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Do you think the amount will fall from £9,000 to £3,000 ???
Yes, I like the paying more in the future idea.
Letters are all in one folder at present, but in 2 groups.
*whisper* there is a job vacancy in one of the schools where I volunteer. If the hours in any way fit round my children, I shall be applying over the weekend.
Completely the wrong qualifications, but plenty of voluntary work.

Please find enclose a tear off slip offering £1 per month in the first instance. I hope to increase this as soon as my circumstances improve.
My outgoings at present are per month:
Mortgage: £359.34
Endowment: £84
Electricity: £73
Water: £8.10
Phone: £30
Firewood for heating: £20
Petrol (sons’ schools is 4 miles away): £40
Food, clothing, school trips etc: £200
I receive at present per week:
Child benefit: £30.20
Tax Credits: £80.07
Income support: £59.15
I believe I am supposed to get the interest part of my mortgage paid shortly and once this happens, I will be in a position to pay MCS slightly more each month. However, I also have a legal bill outstanding from my divorce of £18,000.0 -

Can you also put all you statement into the files - the ones you got via th SARand the ones you originally got for claiming your bank charges back?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Oooo, I've got through to the Social Security office!!!
The world's most softly spoken man says he is well on the way to authorising payment of my original mortgage interest. (£250) He was a bit stumped that I had remortgaged and needs proof that the £10,000 paid some of my legal fees and that I have not been frittering it away.
So I've left a message for my solicitor and she will have to print something off that shows the £10,000 went directly into her account and that I have not spent it.
Whether it'll be paid after that, I don't know....
Liz0 -
Yep, all statements are in same file
