Thank you very much, Treacle Toes!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Thank you Amandaatnumber7!

Well, up at 5:30, my lovely DH gave me scrambled egg and toasted muffin so I hope I will be ok till afternoon (if a bit hungry). Only water now until 11am then zilch until the op.

I hope you will have a nice OS day and I look forward to tonight or tomorrow update. Look at it this way, it will be a NSD (apart from necessary parking cost which is from separate budget!).

    xx

  • Best wishes for today Caterina.

I have had 2 consecutive NSD's and today is looking like another on too :j. Today is a quiet one for me, hopefully just me and youngest DD for most of the day and as she likes to have an afternoon nap this afternoon should be bliss! :D. My electric egg boiler broke yesterday and weighing up whether I will replace it, we inherited it nearly 5 years ago from DH's Mum and it must have been years old even then. I know they can be boiled in a saucepan but I do like the egg boiler, decisions, decisions.......

Eldest DD is settling back into Uni life, we Skyped last night which was good, she had been to Morries in the evening and bought a 4 serving blackberry and apple pie for 79p and 3 cheese and onion pastie type 'things' for 19p, it seems some of my frugal ways are rubbing off! :rotfl:

Wishing you all a lovely day x

    Good evening,

    Thank you MOS.

I am back home, all well, thanks God, biopsy gone to lab but Dr thinks I am ok. Very woozy so please don't mind brief post.

Spent £4 parking and £15 to DS's friend as it is her birthday tomorrow and she is such a lovely girl, I wanted to treat her a bit. So not a NSD after all.

See you all tomorrow, thank you for all your good wishes.

Sorry for the silence - ill child who is hopefully better now. We were at the doctors 9:30 yesterday morning for antibiotics. He has sinusitis but he is one of those children whose stomach joins in with every other illness. He moaned he was hungry, then he moaned that whatever he ate made him feel sick and then he just moaned in general. He is feeling better tonight and has a bigger dinner than me so it's back to school tomorrow (today was an inset day luckily).

    Glad you're ok Caterina.

    Good evening,

Cranky thank you for your good wishes. Sorry about your sick boy, I hope he is on the mend now.

Today I had a total duvet day, drifting from bed to chair to bed again, I am feeling well, just a bit weak if I stand for a few minutes. No pain at all, can't believe that the anaesthetist was offering me cocodamol, just as well I turned it down, told her I would make for with paracetamol if in discomfort. She was ok with it, but am glad I don't even need that.

Duvet day = NSD no. 5, I am making progress and there is a lot of food in the house. I might top up the veg tomorrow though.

DH is kindly preparing dinner, blitzed veg soup and red cabbage coleslaw in vinaigrette, so yummy!

As the living room is being redone and the furniture is all upstairs, including TV, no chance of watching it, other than catch up. Maybe I won't bother and stay in bed reading instead.

My friend visited and brought me a lovely bunch of roses, I am so happy for her kindness.

Better check that DH has all the correct spices now!

    Good night.

I'm glad you're not feeling too bad. Master Cranky appears to be on the mend.
  • Cranky, glad to hear your Son is starting to feel better.

Caterina, nice to hear you are starting to feel better, don't overdo it though.

We have sickness in this house too, DD2 has tonsilitis but as she is so shy it took her a few days extra before going to the Doctors about it so she has to take 200mg of Penecilin for the next 10 days!

Tonight is a quiet one as DD1 is back at Uni and DD2 is out for a meal with her boyfriend and family as it's his birthday today, not sure what time she will be home.

I too have had a NSD today as I popped into our local shop and came out empty handed, only went in for colour catchers.

Wishing you all a lovely OS evening.
