Thank you Frogga!! Some day it will just be the right time for you and you will do it. I have done many diets over the years and I guess now is just my time.

That is exactly what I feel people will think why did that girl let herself get that fat in the first place!!

Oh yes I'm there every week -sometimes I enjoy it - other times not. It doesn't matter I just know I have to go like it or not lol

Yes I am in the local paper next week. I just feel I guess that when people who have never been overweight or don't put on weight easily are very prejudice and belittling to overweight people and think I must have sat stuffing myself with cream cakes which I didn't. I hate society's attitude to overweight people - lazy, greedy etc. I really don't mean to offend anyone by the way I'm just telling it how it is. If you ever read the Mail on line you will see how cutting and hurtful people can be about weight. You can be a murderer or rapist but seemingly in our society it seems the worst thing you can do is be overweight.

I may have lost the weight but I definitely have many other issues - the black dog in particular and sadly my self esteem has not improved with weight loss.

I am 35, single, having shut myself off from the world of men for many years after a bad relationship in my 20s.

I am fixated on a guy I went out with 6 times this........sounds bonkers I know - he clearly doesn't want me but I can't move on. I feel that I ruined it by pushing him away and cracking up every so often due to my issues.

We speak sporadically and again I have cracked up and pushed him away!

So although all I have lost the weight and everyone expects me to be tap dancing in the streets - all in the garden is definitely not rosy.

Sometimes I would like to just remove my brain as I think far too much.

But hey I battle on as that's all I can do.........incidentally this man is at least 25 stone ( I'm prob being kind) and is definitely not Brad Pitt but I think love him. If I could turn it off I would but I can't!

But if you didn't laugh you would cry!!

I'm sure this rant is of no interest - but hey that is me ! :rotfl:

Incidentally said male has no idea I used to be overweight and said paper will be delivered to his house next week. Again if you didn't laugh you would cry!!!! Only in my world would this happen !!! lol

Joined SW recently and im struggling. As a vegetarian who can only eat small amounts of quorn as i feel ill if i eat it regularly, im stuck as to what to eat.

like meat eaters i tend to have vegetables as an accompaniment to a meal, so to be eating them for the whole of my meal its getting bland. So far im using my sins to give substance to mealtime, which means theres no allowance left for treats.

I spose as a vegi, ive got used to cheese and fat being the staple of my diet for flavour, with bread my fallback to fill-up on.

Just wondered what other vegis ate, that doesnt resemble just a plate of veg, or revolve around quorn

Do you eat pasta? I was veggie years ago for 3 years and eat mainly fish and chicken now. I eat some form of cheese every day as my healthy extra - its just something I can't give up.

Veggie lasagne, diff veggies with pasta, omelettes with beans or salad, veg chilli with rice or sw chips, baked potatoes, veggie stew, veg soup, veg stirfry, noodles with different veg.

Go and look at some veg recipes and then think about how you can adapt them to make them sw friendly!

I dont get the meat substitute thing either, but for speed/ease i would have vegetable kievs and pasties, etc, so processed vegi stuff, which are no-nos synwise.

Lentils and beans are already naturally a staple jn my diet, but i spose its the lack of visual variety im missing. For meat eaters i assume, if you opt for a different meat it totally changes the dynamic of the meal. For me, veg curry looks the same as veg chilli, stew, etc.

You are so brave, and it really helps to know that you struggled before you made it.

I've told everyone before but the heaviest I've been is 21 stone, and the lowest I ever got to when dieting is 12st 2lb. But, I've put it on and lost it again too many times to remember, about 6 now I think? At Christmas last year I was 13stone, now I'm about 17 something, I dare not look at the moment :(

Hi everyone, I'm back. I actually got back late Monday night but haven't had the inclination to post. My weekend went well, the meals were really good, lots of veg & salads, very SW. There were of course desserts which I managed to avoid but I did succumb to 3 pieces of cake over the whole weekend. I weighed myself on Tuesday to find out the damage and was surprised to find I'd lost the llb I'd put on the previous week.

Since returning I've continued to be good, staying within syns but going the lactofree and gluten free route. I am feeling much better as a result.

    EE Menu:

B: Kallo gf rice puffs with BD milk. Tea with LF skimmed milk.
L: Mushy pea curry & half pack of microwave rice (5). Pineapple. Tea with LF milk.
D: 2 BGYS sausages (2), beans, SW fried egg & SW rustic chips.
    2 x GF chocolate fingers (4).

S: Cocoa made with water & splash of BD milk.
    BM: 2 hrs Ballroom
    Weight loss 0/2st
    Inch loss = 0"

    Morning everyone
Well I woke up in sunny Cornwall this morning; hubby is working here for a couple of days so I've joined him for a mini break :D
Walked to local shop along costal path this morning with several hills and did 40 min BM and all before I've had breakfast - go me!!
Wish I'd bought my cossie now as sea looks inviting
    Anyway...
Great losses Pink Polly, saver, BEG and shell belle and anyone else I've missed
Mildred - you are a super star, well done on WOTY
BEG - isn't it great when you break through a stone barrier, I too did that this week and although I've been in the 14s on my scales I've never been in them on club scales so I was doubly chuffed.
Lantanna - wow!!!! 92lbs gone forever, what an achievement :j
Shell belle - club 10 is a huge achievement, means you are already healthier, well done
    ((Hugs)) to redsary,

    Finally welcome to newbies :T
I've updated chart with everyone's losses they have already posted and thanked them, I'll do final updates and count on Saturday and post it Sunday
Already looking forward to new challenge

Annie Please put me down for -1lb for last week. Not only have I failed the challenge but I've managed to gain an extra pound over the whole period :(

Shala Please put me down for the new challenge but this time I will be less ambitious (I found it put me under tremendous pressure) and will aim for 4lb
