Only another 5p today - have looked in the obvious places so now will start to stick to plan and tidy up / declutter / find items for sale. That way I might still come across some hidden treasure!! So new target is £49.72

Today has been a busy one - and I can only spare a few in on MSE before going to sw. I wont achieve the 2lb loss - in fact I suspect that I will put on - but I can live with that one. I'm on steroids so its an uphill battle anyway. Tonight I am going to tackle the toiletries mountain. I have a basket on my dressing table full of half used goodies - some will be slung but others will be on the must use up first pile. I have even unearthed some of my posh shampoo - in a travel bottle that I have clearly forgotten about. I might just have enough to last me until the next visit to the hairdressers in October :)

So - after all the excitement of my finds things at chez nous have returned to normal. I am pleased to report that it was another nsd and even a good dieting day!

I have spent 30 minutes sorting the wardrobe in the bedroom and come across some useful finds - a top that fits now but needs a new hem, a fleece blanket, two jars of coffee (don't ask) and some long life light bulbs. I figure that if I spend 30 minute chunks over the weekend then the room should be finished - who knows what I might find?????

Inspired by you I emptied out my purse today of all coins resulting in £2.58 being put to one side for going towards debt. So thanks for that :)

  • I am absolutely gobsmacked that you have found so much cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're right, you must have been happy leaving money in every conceivable place! I am now so squeaky tight with my change (and always have been really) that yesterday I went to Tosco Express and bought soy sauce. Just that as that was all I needed which is a breakthrough in itself!... But it was £1.25 and I had £1.24 in change in my purse. Rather than break into the £5 note, I paid 1p on my debit card... The woman laughed hard behind the till :D *proud*

Have you got a 'winter coat'? I found £5 in mine after a long summer once! :D Keep going!

You're right - some of this change is because I have a habit if paying with notes and then slipping the change into the carrier bag with the receipt. The money at work was from an expenses claim that I had made last year. Like I said - just how careless was I!

Btw - 5p in the winter coat !

  • Ah expenses makes more sense! I thought it had accrued from leftover lunch money ;)
