Hi - nice to see you back. Had a great day out today. Overspent by £10.89 but I can live with that and adjust the other budgets - in the past it would have been sooooo much worse!

Not very mse today so am struggling to say one thing - other than not giving in to my urge for a takeaway tonight and pre planning tea with the slow cooker. Right now I'm shattered so that's the best I can come up with!

Morning all - the dog got me up early - 5:55 am - so it feels as if I've been up forever!

This morning is one of tidying up and loading the car up for a carboot sale this afternoon. My target for September is £100 so I am hoping that this gives me a good start.

After reading another diary I am inspired to start my own 100 day challenge - broken down into 10 ten day mini challenges. The 100 days ends on 8th December - by which time I want to have paid off my od and lost 20 pounds. That means that each set of ten days I need to lose 2 pounds and pay back £169. Bit of a tall order but I was inspired by a recent YNAB post which posed the questions - since when has debt become acceptable - its not but I am chugging along accepting that its always there and not working as hard as perhaps I could do to eradicate it. To reach Christmas without the od would be fabulous. Don't get me wrong - this is the tip of the debt mountain - but I would love to have a positive balance at the end of each month. This is a personal millstone!

So - lets hope that the car boot sale turns me into a millionaire overnight lol!

    lol - of course xx

I have now pinned the wall planner up and highlighted December 8th - this girl means business. The sun is shining outside so we cant ask for better car boot sale weather and I have some decent items for sale that wont make their original costs but should bring in decent money (famous last words eh?)

I have taken photos of some clothes and a handbag ready to list on ebay later on. £169 - I'm coming to get you !!

Well the car boot sale has been and gone and I am rather pleased with the results - a stonking £107.30. That includes the pitch fee of £6 and a small purchase of £2.50. There were some big items that went well and turned clutter into money - its all good! So I now have 9 days to go and need to raise £61.70 to meet the first target. Should be possible - she hopes!! Off to deposit the funds somewhere safe!

Oops - found safe place - and another 32p - so now need just £61.38

Thank you INOD - I have just listed some items on ebay as well so lets hope that someone "bites". Now I'm off to do some crafting before Dragon's Den. I need to decide what my next money making venture will be!

    Hello there Ninno!

Sorry for lack of posting recently. Been poorly and doing a bit of de-cluttering myself. You put me to shame with your total though! I got £58 for 5 games! I did however net myself £15.50 cashback, including a 30 day free trial to a dozen plus movies I would otherwise have bought, and am mystery shopping tomorrow for £50 which is wondrous. :D

Last weeks Dragons Den featured a woman I have been a fan of on the dreaded book of face for years... Tiny Teepees... I am desperate for one for my Jellytot, but after she featured on there, within 24 hours she had to close her 2014 order book. Never mind. I need a bigger house and to find £175 somewhere for a teepee :D

Why can't we have these kind of ideas? Hmmm.

Absolutely liltdiddylilt - if only we knew what the next best thing was going to be! Mind you they usually sink a whole load of their own money into the business first - money that we just haven't got - yet!

My friend and I are going to do a craft fayre at the end of November so one of the jobs today will be to start thinking about what I should make for said fayre from current stash and start to make a list. Some items will have to be quick makes and some can take a little longer - I go back to work this week so time will become more limited. I'm thinking some Christmassy items so that the stall looks good but predominately things that can be given as gifts - then it wont matter so much if they don't sell - I can either use them myself or save them for another craft fayre.

Well the day is nearly though and I've not really achieved much. I have made a list of craft fayre items - all of which are doable - yet have sent the rest of the day tackling a difficult cushion cover (can a cushion cover ever be THAT difficult) and snoozing on the sofa - I am so tired its untrue - bodes well for going back to work on Wednesday!

MSE wise (cant fail in my challenge to do something each day during the holiday) all I can really say is that its a NSD since I haven't been out. I have tidied through and feel a little straighter because of my efforts but this is hardly a day to write home about. I also only now have 8 days to raise £61.38 - there are 4 items on ebay but no bids yet - I need to list some more tomorrow evening so that they finish on sunday.
