Just over £6 in the pot today, and less than a week before the first tally up of what's in my holding pot. Will be my first deposit into the main savings pot too. Hope it's a pleasant surprise.

They looked in my ear and said that it was 2/3rds blocked, my hearing is really muffled on that side, its like ive got a big wad of cotton wool in my ear. She asked about tinnitus but I get that anyway so couldn't tell her if it was part of this or not :o The first set of drops were discontinued so then she gave me predsol?

It feels like there is liquid in the bottom of the ear but I don't know if it smells lol

Its hard to see the ear drum if the canal is blocked with wax, predsol will reduce inflammation but not treat bacterial otitis media (middle ear infection) or do much for the wax. You might have glue in the middle ear (effusion) - the middle ear is where the ossicles are and they should be in air, ventilated by the Eustachian tube. Sounds like you need oral antibiotics to me. Wax conducts sound surprisingly well so its probably something going on in your middle ear. If you don't get anywhere, ask to be referred to an ENT specialist who can look at your ear with a proper microscope.

Do you get recurrent ear problems?

Ahh ty moohound, I've suffered with my ears quite a bit as did my middle sister who had ear problems constantly as a baby and is now partially deaf. Will ask about an ENT referral as the doc did say it might be worth them having a look as when I do get ear infections they are always terrible and so painful! Thinking about it, every time I've had an ear infection the drops never work and they end up giving me oral antibiotics :o maybe should have mentioned that to the doc last time I went :o
It just feels so swollen in there it's like the two sides of my ear canal have joined together in the middle, I keep pulling on my ear lobe to make a gap in there and relieve the pressure.
