£2.65 potted today
one £2 coin and 65p shrapnel. No roadkill yet (love that term!)
Let's get ready to bumble! :rotfl:0 -
Well spoken to ESA, the call centre informed me that the change in my payments was due to them docking me for the carers allowance DH claims for me . . . tried to explain that though DH is registered as my carer, he doesn't get carers allowance as he is over the limit on income. Round and Round we go until I said that I would be happy for them to pay him the money instead if that was easier to which she replied 'it wouldn't make any difference as they would just then remove it from his money as he's over the limit' ummmm . . . hence why I keep saying he doesn't get carers allowance so how can yo dock me for it!!!???!!
Anyway, they passed me on to my local department, woman took one look and said 'well thats not right, your DH doesn't get carers allowance, don't worry i'll get you backdated and change your payments back'
Decided it was time to finally take out some of the money from paypal that was due in my pot, so 5 x £2 coins in the £2 coin tin and £6 in change into the shrapnel tin, which is now FULL! :j :j tin number 3 is underway:j

Hi Guys, haven't posted for what seems like ages as have been fundraising with my son (and potting all coinage) to raise funds for him to go off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro... only to have the trip cancelled a week before the due date as the travel company have gone into liquidation. Gutted isn't the word....! We did, however, manage to raise £2850 for Meningitis Research but he now cannot complete his challenge. So many other students in the same boat, but disappointment all round.....
Will keep potting what I can, but the motivation has dropped somewhat....:(Sealed Pot Challenge - No: 223

I transferred some money into my pot on a pay day and now I see that I forgot to cancel standing order to this account, so it's been paid twice!! Oh well, I'll leave it in there... £586 in total.
ToniLiz, how did you choose the charity?0 -
Spent yesterday afternoon at the beach in Folkestone watching people dig for the hidden gold. Tide was only just starting to go out so didnt feel the need to join in but if we get a bit of an indian summer when the schools go back I might venture down at low tide.
Broke into a £10 note so £8.02 into my pot today.
Do not have a clue what is in there but come counting day I am determinded to transfer the £2 into my Posh pot so can save to do something special for my 50th in 2016.

Sue - Hope you have a great holiday. Did find some road change on the station. Have finished my temp contract which I worked for 11 months for the company. Taking a break to catch up with rest and do some other things I want to do.
Have potted £1.14. £1 of that was road change, which I found on my way home from volunteering. Money potted was change from the last few days.
jakes-mum - Am pleased that your ESA has been sorted out.
