    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, hope all are well.

benten69 & Island.girl - welcome and good luck with your potting. It's never too late to join.

Not much potting going on here, but managed to pot 90p.
I using a credit card at the moment as we're getting 5% cashback for 3 months. So few cash spends at the minute.

Still potting quietly away, things not too good with other relatives being very ill,but I can't do much other than offer support because we live quite a distance away and don't have our own transport. Took DGDs yesterday to look for shoes for the wedding, ended up buying trainers and pumps for school. Got myself some nice shoes with £15 off. Also got a 10% OAP discount. Don't know whether to be upset because she thought I was an OAP or happy to have got a discount!!:undecided

It's never to late too join us, Island.girl and vanilla twist A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Hi vanilla twist, I've PM'd you about joining us now rather than waiting until we start again so please just pop a post on and let me know.
Hiya, we opened our pig a couple of weeks ago - I use it to help save up spending money for our holidays, and it had £213.06 inside...

Unfortunately I split it in half as one week was spent away and the other half was at home... And I can't find the safe place I put it for safekeeping. Doh! Kinda defeats the object, doesn't it?

That's GREAT saving, CapricornLass!! :T Sadly it's also a pain in the **** when you're unable to find the pot! :( Keep on searching, you'll find it in the end. Meanwhile, keep up the magnificent work. :j

You're welcome, benten, and a good start made to your savings. :)

Isn't Northumberland just beautiful, moohound, a gorgeous County. :DBTW, what's this about you NOT having taken packed lunches all week???! Don't give your valuable savings to others - make em yourself and pot what you save!! :grinheart

It has been nearly freezing, 32b3, but some respite next week!!! :j

It's ok, jakes-mum, young Jake, with all you've described, is a normal teenager, finding his way through the rotten puberty times and all that go with it, but so long as you give him plenty of TLC he'll always remember Mum was there for him! ;) BTW, I really hope the drops work soon.

BTW keep meaning to ask what the butterfly is on your avatar

It's a male Clouded Yellow Butterfly, Lynne, just about my favourite. DH & I love photography and I have a real passion for, wherever possible, getting unusual butterflies with their wings open. Not easy, but I was so lucky and clicked just at the right time with that little darling. I got a fairish shot of a female CY in Devon a couple of weeks ago. :D I don't think you get them in Scotland, but you never know. BTW, well done with having the bookings done, lovely, and hopefully you can turn the heating off next week! :j

Sounds as though you're aiming high, Helen, it's the best way for sure!

    Indie_Kid wrote:
I'm sure there are also instructions hanging around somewhere about how to make your own pot?

    Welcome!

Oi Indie Kid, the instructions for making pots don't "hang around", they're on Page 1 along with everything else folk need to know. Talk about upset...I'm in tears ere. :(;)

    GREAT SAVINGS, Lost!!! :j

I know what you mean about not being able to save much at the moment, Lynsey, but it makes perfect sense to be using a credit card and getting 5% cashback for 3 months! Well done! Can't have it all ways, sadly.

What can I say, lucyhope, just be happy about the savings. :rotfl: I hope your lass is still responding well.

What are you guys going to do with the money if you all reach your targets? I think I'm going to spend half and save half. Don't know what to spend it on though!

Hi EMMAP, I usually keep mine by for the next year's holiday, it's a huge help.

Well done, siju, on a cracking amount potted.

I've completely forgotten to pop my savings on here over the last week, dim wit! :( Anyway, a total of £25 potted!! Well chuffed with that. :D

Have a WONDERFUL weekend, Sealed Potters, and get ready to enjoy some lovely weather next week! :j

Hi vanilla twist! Your SPC No is on post 2 of page 1 and your welcome is in my post above, you're one of the family now! :D

Don't worry, DeafLeopard, it's a struggle for many of us at times, but the main thing is - that you're saving - little by little will see you with cash by Christmas. Keep it up! :j

Tis true Sue-UU, DS is most definitely in the teenage hormonal stage  I laugh at all my friends moaning about their toddlers/pre schoolers on Faceb0ok and think 'you have NOOOOOOOO idea, what you have instore for you when they get older' :rotfl: I wonder if any of them would like to swap for 5 years

Ty for the good wishes with the drops, these drops just seem to be melting the blockage which in turn seems to be allowing the infection to breathe making it so darned painful :( blockage now seems to be completely covering my ear canal as it feels like ive got a piece of sticky gum in there and can hardly hear on that side! TV is now up to double its normal level so I can hear it :o

Been out to pay all the bills today and got some lovely change from the bank lady, 2 x £2 coins for the £2 coin tin and 53p in lovely change for the schrapnel tin which is STILL not full  come onnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! I want a 3rd tin this year :o
