BTW imapoet, how about this to go with your first few words "I found a pound upon the ground, I've potted it now so it's safe and sound" Please take note of little_sweetie's words and don't feel guilty about picking up other people's dropped cash as it's been noted that many of them know they've dropped it BUT can't be bothered to pick it up!!!!!
Very many thanks for the initial welcome, Helen, a gold star for your help. :staradmin You too, jakes-mum, thanks a lot...here's yours. :staradmin BTW, don't worry about Jake, it sounds like he gets your message and wants the money, but that at this stage working for it is a chore! Remind him to work hard at school to get the results he wants in order to get a job he's happy in.Trixxibell wrote:Hiya,
I'm being a bit thick I can't find my number on page 1. Sorry I know you said its on there Sue but I can't see it ??? Am I missing something very obvious?

Whoops! Many apologies, Trixxibell, I'd forgotten to put your No and NewbieJosh's on!! Please lift your head up as I've now got mine hanging in shame - well a little bit. Sorry again.
Hi again, lucyhope, I am so terribly sorry you've had so much going on within the family of late! Your poor DD, you must be worried sick about her to say the very least! I do hope the shunt is successful and does what's necessary though even that doesn't sound pleasant by any means, but if it does the job...! Terribly sorry to hear of your S-I-L, what a shock that must have been to you all! Have you had the gall (and or stones) removed? I know it was agony until they got shot of mine. All very best wishes to you all, and please let us know how DD1 goes on. For now, enjoy the good times like the wedding and time with the Grandchildren to help you through the bad. {{{Hugs}}} to you and prayers for you , Lucy. xxxIndie_Kid wrote:£3.02 potted. Tempted to bank the money in my pot. It's getting kind of heavy now.
By all means do, Indie Kid, if it makes easier, just please pop the amount banked on your siggy for me. [Edit] I see you've already done both, well done and thanks.
I love your avatar, Rosy, it's so you to a T!! :jFlat_Eric wrote:It's been tempting this month to borrow the proceeds but I know I will never pay it back and the excitement of opening near Christmas will be lost.
Ooooh, Flat Eric, you'd be really gutted at Christmas, keep potting your cash then step away from the pot and keep your distance til your next potting!!
Keep on walking, Meowhouse, swimming too...without putting all the lbs back on afterwards with nibbling! How's puss2 now?
Very many congratulations to you both, Modesty!!! Lucyhope and I have been married for 42 (and a 1/2 for me!)
Not to worry, 166million, at least it's only a tenner.

jakes-mum don't worry about Jake, it sounds like he gets your message and wants the money, but that at this stage working for it is a chore! Remind him to work hard at school to get the results he wants in order to get a job he's happy in.
Well he went over and cleaned mums car so thats a start, and he's just remade his yearly bet with me for school, ive been a bit nicer this time, if he gets 300 merits (after and deductions for bad behaviour!) by the end of the year, he gets £10, if he gets 400 merits (which is the platinum award and was the highest achievement until a kid this year got 500 and they had to make a special award just for him ) he gets £25 . . . . BUT if he fails to reach 300 merits he has to pay ME £2
Spent all of yesterday up the hospital as DH and DS were rear ended in the car on the way back to DS's school. DH managed to get the DS's school before they rang me, I then talked to the school and they called an ambulance etc and they were both taken up A&E, DH was in a brace and backboard.
I had to laugh when I spoke to the school medic today when I went to pick up DS's bike, he said 'the paramedic was saying they would have to cut the door and roof off your car to get your husband out and he said to them 'don't you dare, my wife will murder me! if I can get out of this car on my own, im bl**dy well going to' and then proceeded to squeal like a pig while forcing himself out the car'
I said 'OMG you must have all thought I was a right tyrant! I do love this car and probably would have cried later when I knew they were ok, but at the time I couldn't have given a monkeys if you'd cut all the doors and roof off!'
Just to say they are both fine, DH has quite bad whiplash and the bruising from the seatbelt will come out soon, DS just has a bit of an ache in his neck and some pain from the seatbelt but nothing that wont heal in time.
£2 coin in the £2 coin tin today and various schrapnel in the other tin. DS and DD have a load of stuff they are selling from the bedroom tidy ups, so ive started them a tin each and everytime I sell something of theirs the money goes in their tin, they have been forbidden to open them until everything is either sold or up the charity shop then they can open them together and count how much they haveDD already has £8 and DS has £1 but ive got £16 in fleabay for him :shhh:

Oh my days jakes-mum your lot are going through it too make sure DH takes pain killers regularly even if it doesn't hurt initially for the whiplash as it can be really bad 2-3 days later even if you think you are ok - and been a man he will think he's ok! Or go full steam ahead with just a wee moan here and there to do your head in and not take any pain killers (if he's owt like my husband
wouldn't take pain killers dispute being in pain as he ' doesn't like to take them' - a little while ago when I suggested them and then went to OOH Dr who then made me laugh when she said if he didn't need to do painkillers he wouldn't want any of hers then!! :rotfl::rotfl: )
Hugs to everyone else that needs them
