Welcome newbies :hello: and good luck with your savings

Well although the rain seems to have cleared the air here finally......

It ain't half flattened my poor miniature sunflowers:(

Hopefully cat no 2 does have an abcess and nothing worse as it does appear to be shrinking although not gone yet so those antibiotics may have done the trick (or at least started it)

Jakes mum - it sounds like your beloved DS as started the teenage years with a vengeance - never mind in another seven years you might be telling us another story - I think patience might be the name of the game - or some padding for the wall where you want to bang your head - :wall: or lightbulb moment - whip up one of your cakes in the fab kitchenaid (still jealous) that will take your mind off it - and we will all come round for tea to ensure that DH only has a small slice and not ruin his amazing weight loss xx :rotfl:

Just a loverly £2 coin for my fat terramundi yesterday but going shopping in a bit - hoping to be frugal to sneak some extra in the pot for Miami when My DH not looking hehe! :shhh:

MIA for ages, as a family we've had quite a time of it. I had a bout of gallstone colic (not recommended for weight loss) lost 10 kilos in almost as many days.

SIL died after an amputation, was doing well then had a heart attack.

DD1 has been in and out of hospital with what turned out to be fluid on her brain. At best she'll have to have a shunt and at worst she could go blind.
Got that sorted then discovered she has a cyst on her spine. After much deliberation surgeon decided not to operate but to keep an eye on things.

In the midst of all this we've been sorting out DD2's wedding, looking after grandchildren when mum's been in hospital, but been quietly potting away, not as much as I'd have liked, I keep forgetting to put my quid a day in.
Oh well, onwards and upwards, I'd say things have settled down but that would be tempting fate!
I've looked in from time to time but not had time to post x

Lucyhope..I'm so sorry to hear that things have been tough for you.....I hope that they are improving for you and that there are good times ahead for you and your family....

It's ridiculously hot here....I think the Weather report said it would get up to 32 degrees here in London this Weekend!! I'm sat here on my bed feeling like I never want to move from in front of my fan...even though it doesn't really work properly...it's still better than nothing!!

    Anyway....that moaning aside....I'm Potting 32p this morning....:D

I'm running a sealed tin for 20p coins and also a sealed tin for my pound coins and the occasional £2 coin !

Its been tempting this month to borrow the proceeds but I know I will never pay it back and the excitement of opening near Christmas will be lost.

I found 1p roadkill today so that went in the bronze box, I counted up the proceeds of this recently and now have £4 to bank :) I also banked previous bronze proceeds and had the grand sum of £7 plus £30 in 50p which went on sale shopping :rotfl:

Ahh Lucy, hope things are now on the up for your family, everything always seems to come along at once :(

Meowhouse - you are very right, I have my very own 'Kevin' :rotfl: I had to laugh as yesterday he came with me to my mums and offered to wash her car for her, and I was just reminded of the Harry Enfield sketch when Kevin was made to wash the car and it took him all day :rotfl: DS sorely disappointed me by not using the electric window mechanism to clean the glass :rotfl:

Flat Eric - Step away from the pot! Sue may explode if you open it early :D

Well I seem to have the street in my house today, both kids have come home with friends in tow and others have just appeared  on the plus side, we have now met half the parents as they all came looking for them :rotfl: only took us 9 years :D:D

Well its absolutely tipping it down today . . . . and im LOVING it! I want to go outside and jump in the rain :D but I think it might also be hailing so I shall refrain :rotfl: Oh I hope it stays like this, I was just horrible to be around yesterday, I got so overly hot that I couldn't cool down, didn't know where to put myself and ended up shouting at everyone :o

A few lovely coins in my pot today as I had to go and buy a new joint as I just wasn't sure when I smelt the lamb I had taken out so thought better to be safe than sorry, it was reduced to about £2 anyway and i'll cook it after dinner and if it is ok the kids and DH can have it with new potatoes tomorrow ;)

Sorry Lynnejk, 3 SW SYNS IS 3 slimming world syns. The only food in the concoction which had syns were the sausages. You are allowed between 10 and 15 syns per day, so the less you 'spend' on real food the more you can spend on chocolate or sweets :D

Ok - thanks for that. Obviously most people would understand this but never joined though maybe I should :)

am trying to sell off some of the excess bricks we have from building the little wall in the garden, don't know what measurements we were using when we worked out how many we would need but I seem to have nearly 300 left over  note to self, do NOT let DH measure things, it will only cost me money :rotfl:
