OK I gave in and counted up, total is a whopping

    £838.20 for number 69 :j:j:j
    I couldn't be more pleased!
That will cover Christmas easily and the rest will go in my ISA yippee.
Thanks Sue for this thread :D

mossy and Sue-UU: I hope we smash last year's total - completely eye-watering at over £50k. If we don't, then I know we've all done our very, very best.

Another 50p potted. I can see the final push.... :j :j

  • Hi all, haven't been around much due to appointments etc but I've been potting change, not sure how much but there was definitely a couple of £1 coins :) seeing everyone's totals is really inspiring, well done to everyone who has declared so far....this seems to have started something in our house as not only does my eldest (11 yrs old) help me with our budget and my 10 yr old help me with the meal planning, my 3 yr old now has her own 'sealed pot' in the form of an old gravy tub with a slit in the top, she goes up to her Dad every day when he comes in from work and asks for a 'penny for my tin like mommy' but she just puts them in and leaves them :)
Hope everyone has had a good day x

  • Started my 2015 pot today with £2.00 in there. I wont keep a tally though, so I get a surprise next year.

Would love to get £500 but we will see :D

    Evening all

Well it's been a while, I had a frugal September so not much potting but was heading back this way in October, when we suffered the most horrendous family bereavement, I lost my beautiful, amazing dad suddenly and tragically at the age of 62, so I lost the plot a bit and to be honest have just been getting through each day for the sake of my little man (18 months old) thank goodness for him I say.

Anyway I'm popping by to declare my £60, which hasn't really been added to since I banked it in September.

I am hoping to join in with next years thread, and hopefully will pop by much more, Im hoping it will give me a little focus and distraction from the horrendousness that is life.

Hope everyone's well. I haven't been able to go back over the thread, sorry.

  • Oh,my goodness-we are just SO CLOSE!!!!!

When I woke this morning, the first thing I thought of was pot opening :D.Is it bad that I (being self-employed),have re-arranged my work so I have Thursday afternoon off just to savour the counting of my pots??Who knows?Next year might even hold a pot-opening party .

Going to spend the next couple of days having a serious rummage for last minute "pottage"- through corners of handbags, under the sofa, tip OH upside-down,that sort of thing :rotfl:.

    Potted £1 yesterday.
