Hiya
I stayed in the Marriott Marquis Times Square this time. I have stayed in loads of other hotels there too though. I would recommend the Marriott, but there are other ones which are just as nice but not so close to Times SquareSPC9 #125 - £816.85

You're not alone, Luckybella, we have quite a few secret savers here who do better saving without partners knowing; I started off that way as I wanted to give my DH a real surprise - he was shocked, but wonderfully so.You're well on your saving journey now, so bon voyage!
Hiya 32b3 and welcome back!!! At least we've still got it fairly mild here for the time of year. You go ahead and count up on Saturday by all means. On the previous page or two you'll see 'you know who' etc have done (give em an inch etc.....:lipsrseal). So pleased you had such a lovely time.
I sympathise with you, AlwaysHappy, even I have got itchy fingers, though I won't take any notice...I won't....I will NOT!
Hellooo there, little_sweetie, I was about to contact you re the 5th for next year as the last couple of pages have held quite a lot! What a day. oooooh what a time of year for the MOT, but of you've done your Christmas shopping then at least you'll have the cash.
It's good to see you have a camper van pot, though why wouldn't you after having the real mccoy! All the best for your savings!
Please make sure your correct Nos are on your siggies everyone!!!
Have a great Wednesday, everyone - and remember... only.......
......8 potting days remain til 27th November!! :dance:Sue x

I have opened and counted as it's my sis's wedding on 29th but we have loads to do in the week running up (hair, nails, favours (table gift variety), rehersal, last minute stupid little things, etc, oh and work! Always gets in the way that work malarky
) but the bags are open for adding any coins between now and 27th. I know they are not sealed but I completely trust myself.
I caved and bought a new sealed tin for next year. I carefully opened this years one with a tin opener underneath at the back like jakes-mum suggested but it just isn't so pretty anymoreThe new one has clouds and rainbows and smiley faces so I couldn't say no!

Oooo did I mention? I won a double bed frame last week on the comps board
was quite chuffed with that one :j and had a WEM saying I've won a load of alcohol free fruit drinks which I thought would be nice for crimbo, especially as I don't drink
(I mean really! Could you imagine what I'd be like on alcohol?!? Just say NO J.M! Biker grove had it right with you
)
Oi Lynsey! That's crude - know any more?!Please make sure your Nos are on your siggies everyone!!!
Just cleaned out a kitchen drawer and found a little bag of change  Must have been there ages and I can't remember why now. Well two good things - money to pot and a clean drawer. Don't they say 'where there's muck there's money' :rotfl:
Getting close now - hope you don't all get tooooo excited

Potting News: Popped all the change from my purse into my pots this morning. My new total is £810 ish, i forgot how much is in my holding pot.
I am a lucky lady this year. A friend of mine has said if i count up, and separate, all my coins he'll exchange it for notes. I don't even have to have a set amount in each bag!!!! That means no trips to the bank for me worrying that all my coinage will be stolen between my car and the door!!
I am going to count up all my money Saturday i think so i can trade it all with him Saturday evening. My mum will also be around so i can borrow some change from her to make it up to a whole £5
I think next year i am going to aim for £1000 since all my debts should be paid next year
Notes from our lovely sueplease make sure your nos are on your siggies everyone!!!
nb everyone! unlike sparkyi have not been able to take any banked amounts from your sigs, i'm trusting that you'll all be able to give me the entire sums you've saved when you declare on the 27th. Thanks a lot folks.
don't forget those money bags, folks, and please don't get your money changed via coinmaster as they charge you approx 10%!!! it's your savings - keep every penny of it!!!!
