  • Hi everyone,

So excited for you jakes mum.
previously our pot target was for a trip to NY in December but now with the baby on way the holidays are on hold

On a happier note my parent arrived yesterday from abroad to help me with the baby when she arrives I m so excited that they are here.

One of my relatives send me money to buy baby stuff but as I have bought everything already the money is going into the pot $50. don't know why she send $ as they know we are in UK

Oooo thank you everyone for the visa info, shall get myself onto the sites and get it sorted :D was having a look on the site 32b3 posted last night and am a tad confused about passports . . mine has the chip in it as it was issued after 2006 but DH's hasn't as his was very early 2006 so not sure if I have to get him a new one with the chip in it or if its ok because its pre 'whatever month it was' 2006

Admittedly I was skim reading so will go back and have another more thorough read! Then its travel insurance and the looooooooooong list of medical conditions (that make absolutely no difference to our length of time on this earth but they still have to know), list of things we want to do while there . . (I do like a list :rotfl:) list of things to pack, list of things NOT to pack (I really do like lists! :rotfl: :rotfl:) . . . i'm beginning to realise my work has only just begun ;)

Have had to accept we wont be going up the statue of liberty, so have decided just to stand on the other side of the water, zoom in and take a picture :rotfl: really don't want to go to Alcatraz, the thought completely freaks me out :o

Oooo Loveactually - maybe your aunt thought you were still going to NY and you could get baby clothes cheaper over there :D

Yayyy!! Trixxibell, we can get all excited together :D and 32b3 aswell for the next few days :D

45p in the pot today, and DH just gave me £32.85 which was what he had left from the fence money :j :j so thats all going in the pot too :D . . . (have decided the £2 coin tin is NY money ;) so miiiiiiight have to change that £30 up into £2's :o)

jakes-mum as 32b3 said, it's an Esta that you want, and use the website she linked. No need to get DH a new passport, as long as his one still has at least 6 months to run from the date you get back! Little Miss Gap has the new one and I have the old one (February 2005) and I had no problems with either of ours (July this year). I'm feeling a bit jealous of your trip! Very pleased for you though. I have never been to NY but have visited the States twice and I love it. NY is on my 'to do' list!! Have a fab time :D

Some small change (coppers) to pot later :)
