Sorry you had a disturbed night, Dancemum.
Driving home late last night I stopped the car and put the hazards on because a hedgehog was crossing the road. That's the first one I've ever seen 'in the wild' so to speak and we'd been talking about Mrs Tiggywinkle's sanctuary at the party - not a subject that I've ever heard discussed before! (OH thought it was a rat, but he'd had a few!)
And then, walking the dog on The Hoe even later, I saw a load of bats zipping around. I love bats.
The forecast is excellent, but the atmosphere feels like impending rain, so the piles and piles of washing will have to wait another day. OH pushed the dy$on around on the top layer yesterday as he was fed up with treading on bon!0 crumbs. It may be worth my while not being quite so scrupulous in the future.
I'm going to have to put the attic on hold while I finish The Frog which is mighty frustrating, but that was why I was up there this week in the first place. I also need to springclean my office for the actor who's on the futon in there in about a week's time and it'll take that long to make it dog fluff free.
Please Ionafan can I see the photo? I took one of my office before I started, but not the attic - curses. That would be been interesting on the 'Before and After' front.Better is good enough.0 -
Bits of shopping done on gift card at Mr A. Now going to do committee meeting minutes. YuckBossymoo

Morning all - home now - well for a couple of weeks at least - I hope! Had the last 5 weekends elsewhere.
Just trying to tidy stuff away and have done two important emails to get things moving for DS.
Now it's time to sort our house!!! Been to Mr A*di for a few bits to last the week and now going to farm shop for half sack of potatoes.
Then the England cricket calls as it has started raining here!!! well that's our excuse anyway.
Will catch up properly tomorrow as it's all gone in one eye and out the other. Hope today is a good day Pigpen.
Hugs to everyone else needing them. xJuly 16 £95/£200

[STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE] Afternoon all
MIA yesterday as I was tackling my DIY list. Got it all done, printed out the 'trolley' at the different shops, was feeling virtuous then remembered something else to add, then something elseThen this morning when I woke up I realised that if I choose red for my bedroom then I'd need new curtains and bedding as they're both purple, so back to the drawing board when it comes to my room. :wall:
Beds are stripped, 2 WM done so I now have clothes to wear when I've had my bath. We need to go to Mr A today for some bits that we've run out of. That list is sort of written. No doubt I'll remember more stuff to add to it than the item I've just added :rotfl:

Good afternoon everyone, I have gotten a bit lost this week, however I have a gone a general clean round during the week.
Today I am working on catching up with the ironing mountain and hoping to get it dried outside whilst it is nice. I am also working on getting all course work scheduled so that I can hopefully get it all completed in time.0 -
Hi guys
Epic fail as of two weeks ago when I was full of determination and wrote a massive post - I ended up in A&E the next day with a suspected pulmonary embolism!
It wasn't - I've been told its deep muscle tissue tear, neurological issue and possible cracked ribs. Crazy. Long and short is I've been in a lots of pain around the back of my ribs and pretty much every which way I move for the last couple of weeks. I have it down to an ache now, but I'm still having to have tramadol sporadically - I'm trying to resist unless I really need it though. I go back to work on Tuesday.
So my house is not looking good but I'm putting off the hoovering till tomorrow I think as I'm not having a pain-free day today! Suffice to say I haven't attempted it as its too heavy and the wrong movements.
I've managed to keep the kitchen fairly up o together, and I have the last couple of days been tidying and rearranging the spare room of doom, so on my way to eating that frog, also my paperwork pile of doom I'm making inroads, as it was a good, slow, sitting down activity to keep me occupied, so again that's another frog!
Suffice to say I'll be attempting to be as fly as possible this week to get my place looking decent again!
Hope everyone is doing well, I've not kept up with the thread as been so out of it on medication until trhe last couple of days, I just couldnt face it!!
LC xx
PS - I do however have a new addition to menagerie of small rescue animals - his name is Hammond and he is a Campbell's (I think) dwarf hamster - very very cute.

Oh elsiepac, that sounds so painful! Make sure you take it easy.
Feel a bit fed up tonight. I am supposed to be working on job number 2 but cant be bothered. The house is a mess. The kids have argued all day (DS2 reluctantly cleaned the bathroom and DS1 hoovered upstairs but only after an argument).
I feel like I am so behind with everything. I really need to do some baking for packed lunches, the dishwasher needs emptying and I still havent cleared up after tea.
OH has said he will do some cleaning but so far hasnt moved off the sofa.
Right, got to get this work finished - it has to be done today!!0 -
Evening all. I echo what LW says, so hugs where needed.
I was quite pleased with the flying I achieved last week including getting back on track with the ironing, so have had a kind of relaxing weekend with DH.
Mother Nature has watered the garden today so there's one job less and I'm another one in holiday prep mode. I don't usually do holidays, just the odd weekend break, and I'd forgotten just how much stuff I need to take for the dogs. Never mind, I'm excited and I'm sure we'll have a lovely time.
Back to the paid stuff tomorrow and I must remember to wash the dog beds and throws.
Rest of weekend will be spent watching the WC final. DH has a bet on or I wouldn't bother, not very MSE but he's won his bets so far so I can't really give a lecture.
Have a great evening everyone. See you on the new thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Ouch elsiepac that sounds nasty. Nothing more than very gentle flying permitted!
My littlies are home and in bed. As suspected, DD trashed her room, but has been made to put it right before bed. She wasn't being naughty but brought two new princesses home (Sleeping Beauty and a second Snow White) and they "needed to get to know the other princesses" I think they had a party, lol. Poor action man looks exhausted.
DS and I built a Lego school. So you see, rather a busy afternoon
Annoyingly, after having all the windows open most of the weekend, my marathon dust n vac session has all been in vain
Ah well, onward and upwards. School stuff all ready for tomorrow. I did the minutes of the club meeting but now my laptop has decided to uninstall office, nor does it recognise my wireless network.
Fortunately I emailed them to myself so can access them from ipad - although not edit. Gah. I will send them to my work address and do the final edit tomorrow. Bl00dy thing was fine this morning!Bossymoo
