Hi Nats
Just popped in for a quick catch up x
We've had a spendy few days, dog at the vets!
Wedding gradually coming together, 93 days to go. Keep thinking we've forgotten something, I'll have to check the lists and make a new one.
I like to be mse where possible but doing things from time to time that give you joy and excitement are good for mental wellbeing!
Much love xnew challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -
Hi KD! Hope your pooch is ok? Nothing like a pet to drain your funds! Good job we love them! Ooh, so the wedding countdown in in double digits.... I am sure you are well and truely on top of things. x
I am just at work for a couple of hours this morning. Computer upgrade is currently still planned for Friday morning, although this could all change on Tuesday when we finally get the training we have been waiting for. I would say these couple of hours have been very productive - but I have spent a bit of time on here reading diaries! EEk! Oh, well
Last evening of house / dog / cat / chicken sitting tonight. Last night a mouse was thrown into the mix as well!! I have no idea how it came to be upstairs, being chased by the cat. But I rescued it and released it (cat doesn't go out luckily!). Just call me Dr Doolittle!
Just need to check what time they will be home tonight, then I can work out a good time to leave...One of the dogs is a puppy and is still wee-training! I have already washed my bedding, put the dishwasher on, put the recycling out and fed the chickens! Just general tidying and the dogs to sort = cat to play with (she is just sooo sweet!)
Payday next Thursday - for a short month it seems to be taking forever to get here. Accounts are all ok though.
Card reader came for new account and I have updated my SO's. Just need to make sure I put enough money through the account in early March to qualify for the cashback offer.
Ended up doing lunch and a present for mums birthday. Oh well, it was lovely to see them both and they had a lovely time. They liked the meal so much they are adding the venue to their list of preferred eating establishments! lol
Right, I am going now! It's time for some lunch... for me and the dogs!! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning All!
Just popping in before, what will be a long day of computer training!
Pro.Ac up to £16.60. Slowly, slowly!
House sitting complete and I am settled back in at home! Pure bliss to be back in my own house with my own pets... oh, and OH of course!
Nothing exciting to report - two days until payday! WHOOP!
Gotta go! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

ONE DAY TO PAY DAY!!
Received my payslip via email this morning, all looks as it should!
Computer training yesterday was more like a system development system and we have delayed implementation again! This is really starting to grate now! Oh well - what will be will be. At least I know that the delays have been caused by the software provider as complied with our part well ahead of schedule!
My comment to KD about pets draining the funds may come back to haunt me. One of our cats has a lump that was definitely not there 2 weeks ago when we visited the vets for their annual check up and booster jabs. Will check its size tonight and decide if a visit is in order. I thought it my be a reaction to the booster jab, but I don't think it is in the right place. Poor thing!
Things are progressing on the shed front. We have had an initial quote through and we're just waiting for the man to come and do a quick site survey to check on the base we need and also look at changing a couple of the fence panels. That's gonna be a big spend! lol
My SDads b'day Friday - no idea at all what to get him! Thinking cap on!
Off to circuits tonight... didn't go last week as I was dog sitting.
Oh, and I have signed up to a 4 week course... in ariel silks! Class is on a Friday evening which is a bit of a bummer - but I really want to give it a go! At the very least its gonna be a laugh as my upper-body strength is... well... lacking !
Happy Wednesday everyone! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Honestly don't know if I am coming or going at the moment. Work is almost un-bearable... I am sooo looking forward to my weeknd off (and the computer upgrade being as much of a success as it possibly can be!).
Just a few things to note (mainly so I know where I am with things)......
Cat with limp better
Cat with lump not so lumpy (although OH thinks otherwise)
Need to move money from new NWest acc to usual account
Need to print CC statement and get OH to pay (his SO kicks in next month)
Need to think about mothers day
Need to chase shed man
Need to withdraw money to pay for aerial course that starts Fri
Need to put more washing on and put clean clothes away
Must let people I house sat for know how much they owe me
blah blah blah lol

Hi Nats
Work is crazy at the moment, I constantly feel like I'm on a roller coaster at the moment! Got a one day course to go on in April, which is good but it's travel into London that I'm not keen on
Dog is all better now and back to his old selfI hope your cats are doing well.

Morning All, my Saturday off work, but I'm in for a couple of hours just catching up on stuff that I haven't had a chance to look at whilst our upgrade happened. New system now working... more or less! One shattered Nats though.
So, a quick look at my list from earlier in the week...
Cat with limp better
Cat with lump not so lumpy (although OH thinks otherwise)
Need to move money from new NWest acc to usual account
Need to print CC statement and get OH to pay (his SO kicks in next month)
Need to think about mothers day

Need to put more washing on and put clean clothes away
Must let people I house sat for know how much they owe me
Moving in the right direction, albeit s l o w l y
Last night was the aerial silks class. It was so much fun and I was pleased with the moves that I managed to accomplish as a (total) beginner. All 4 weeks paid for... no excuse not to go. I actually can't wait until next week
Still doing the daily free games on the bingo sites... nothing won though! Grrr
Not had time to do any more ProAc surveys
Home from here today and have some bits to do along with some money bits like sort through the CC. Then we are heading out for a few drinks and watch the rugby. I am hoping tomorrow will be a 'stay at home and potter day'.
Have a great weekend all! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Whoops! Where has the last 10 days gone? They've literally whizzed by in a bit of a blur to be honest!!
A quick check of my list...
Cat with limp better
Cat with lump not so lumpy (although OH thinks otherwise)
Need to move money from new NWest acc to usual account
Need to print CC statement and get OH to pay (his SO kicks in next month)
Need to think about mothers day
Need to chase shed man + have spoken to a man about putting a base in!
Need to withdraw money to pay for aerial course that starts Fri
Need to put more washing on and put clean clothes away
Must let people I house sat for know how much they owe me
So, just OH to pay CC - this has to happen tonight as it is due tomorrow. I cannot wait for his SO to kick in!!
Cats are both back to being terrors, so no lasting damage to either of them!
Went to my 2nd aerial class last Friday. Sooo much fun - but I am bruised black and blue. Ordered some arnica cream last night - should have arrived at work today... but so far a no show and I am off home in 2 mins!
Won 16p on the free bingo site. I am soo tempted to gamble both the small amounts of money in there and see what we end up with... but then again I like the challenge of getting £10 from each for free (£10 is min withdrawal).
Next round of house-sitting starts Friday. 8 nights, so I should see around £120 for that in a couple of weeks.
Work is still manic and computer upgrade sucks!
And that is it from me... apart from the fact there is another mountain of clean clothes to put away from the weekend. I honestly don't know how the two of us generate so much laundry (we are definitely not "wear once and wash it" people either!!)
I am heading home now. Hope everyone is having a great week! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

OH paid his bit of the CC last night! Literally cannot wait until his SO kicks in at the end of this month and that portion of stress will be removed. I can't believe I didn't get him to set it up sooner! DOH!
Was notified last night that my arnica cream had been delivered.... at 20:30.. left in a bucket by our work back door! Luckily enough it was still there this morning!
Oh, and I must confess to the purchase of a 'beautiful' pair of wedge trainers at the weekend. They were heavily reduced (TKmaxness) but still an impulse buy... but they are l o v e l y !! I mustn't get carried away and keep buying shoes.. but I do need some more for the summer... honest!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
