Happy Saturday All!
At work this morning, which is a bit of a shocker after having 3 weekends off! But it's only until 2 - so could be worse!
Nothing else moving on fleabay
Pro.Ac up to £11.31 which is encouraging! I am aiming to get to £20 by the end of May so I can withdraw it!
Hoping to dig out some old paperwork of OH's at some point over the weekend. I am convinced he can claim mis-selling of PPI on some old store cards and CC's. He doesn't think so - so like with his old loan, I will have a look into it for him! If there's not there's not... but if there is...!!
House-work and chilling will be the agenda for the rest of the weekend, although may pop out for a walk tomorrow!
Have a great weekend everyone! Nats xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Had a look through the MSE "Resolver" tool for re-claiming ppi - looks like it will be worth a go. Went through a box of paperwork (that I only found about 5 weeks ago) dating back to around 2003 - nothing of much help in there. Have dug out the file I started a couple of years back when I first intended to re-claim OH's ppi. That has a full list of cards etc that we think had mis-sold ppi on them. Need to go back further in the boxes of paperwork though to find application forms etc.... or it will be a case of requesting them from the relative places).
Have decided maybe I should keep a little spending diary - I feel that since becoming DF I have become a little more relaxed with my spending and whilst it's not out of control by any means, I think I should have a look at it.
So, here goes....
MAY
Monday 15th - £5.35 (salad items for lunch, will last 3 days!)
Tuesday 16th - £0.00
Wednesday 17th - £0.00
Thursday 18th - £3.00start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!

Ok, so one of my habits from when I was on my DF path was to withdraw £30 a week (on a Friday as I used to be paid every Friday) to cover all my 'bits n pieces'. Lunch, the gym class on a Weds, a mid-week drink with OH etc. And I still do it now. So, out of last weeks £30 I have £3.50 left.. so this weeks 'cash in purse' is £33.50. I have £10 to pay on Wed for 2 x circuits classes but that's it. Let's see where it goes! lolstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!

First pay where a deduction is made for the workplace pension... Deduction = £23.45
Have been thinking and not sure that boosting payments into this is the right way forward - maybe I need to look into having a private pension? One thing I have never got my head around to be fair so any tips or things to think about are most welcome!!

Ok, so re-cap on my weekly spend....
It went a bit wrong - so I 'borrowed' £10 from this weeks £30 to cover the 2 classes I needed to book.
So, £20 to get me through the next week. Should be do-able although we are visiting relatives from Sat pm to Mon pm.
Have a great weekend All! Take time to enjoy the lovely weather with the people you love xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Nothing like starting your bank holiday weekend by getting a call from OH to say he has managed to block the pin on the CC!! 3 phone calls to the card co. and many different cash points I think it is all fixed - just need to check mine (as the primary card holder it blocked mine too!).
Great news on the fleabay front - 2 items sold so they will be posted today. £40 withdrawn... £20 me and £20 for the household account (leaving some in Ppal for selling fees etc).
Have withdrawn £4.84 from Q.co and my balance in Pro.Ac is £15.69 (getting there s l o w l y!)
Have a total of 12 days house-sitting end the end of this month into July, which will go to the SLF to repay myself YAY!
Right, I am off to do a round up on my accounts - hope everyone has a lovely 4 day working week! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Erm.... just bought a pair of shoes!!! oops!
Well, they were on G.pon and I just fell in love - but I did get 8% cashback through TCB. Not so bad ... and they were only £14.97 inc postage so I am not going to feel bad about it!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi Nats
Hope all well, I popped in to say hi, realised the last time I came in was to wish you a happy Christmas!
Usual drama here, son is not currently working and same situation with the on off girlfriend!
Lovely little grandson, born 17th March, St Patrick's day which pleased all the Irish family :rotfl:
Spent a small fortune setting my son and on off girlfriend up in a flat for my son to come back home within a week!
Slowly building my little savings pot back up, but didn't touch anything in my car fund so that is good
I'll try and pop in more often my lovely.
Catch you soon :wave:new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -
£21.24 balance on Pro.Ac - but only £19.89 available... Grrr, this is sooo frustrating! lol
Hi KD - time definitely runs away!! Sounds like you've had a pretty mad start to the year - hopefully it will start to calm down now.
I've just been rattling away here - nothing particularly interesting to be honest, so you haven't missed much!
My G.on shoes arrived and I love them... OH isn't too sure about them - but I don't care! lol
Working this weekend and then getting my hair cut - a little apprehensive to be honest as my usual hairdresser has left and I have had to book with someone else! We shall see.... I will be giving very exact details as to how I want it done!!
Have a great weekend all - catch you next week! Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
