Festive shopping is progressing at a steady-ish rate.


Works do tomorrow evening. Only cost is £20 to take OH and a taxi. Not too sad - especially as OH isn't having one this year so it's our only festive trip out.
5 items listed on fleabay - 4 have watchers so fingers crossed they will sell.
Still no cheques arrived from the Flight claim people.
Hugs were had with new niece - off to my nephews 4th b'day party on Sat so will angle for more hugs then!

One fleabay item sold last night.... a whole £2.90 in the pot after costs!! WOW! All monies gratefully received though!
4 items left on BIN - 3 have watchers so fingers crossed there will be a steady stream of sales leading up to Christmas!

Works meal last night was lovely - OH didn't make it as he is unwell (same old same old) - The night out cost me just £20 as OH dropped me at the restaurant and one of my work colleagues dropped me home. Result! Poor OH - he was really looking forward to it too. I was home, totally stuffed, by midnight and back as work as fresh as a daisy this morning for 8!! Yawn!


Nephews birthday party this afternoon and then (depending on how OH is feeling - feel bad leaving him at home all day on his own) I will either pop into a town that I am closer to from the party to have a present mooch on my own (not bought OH anything for Christmas yet) or head home. We'll see!

1 x fleabay item sold last night, so that's all packaged up ready to go to the PO at lunchtime. £9.93 in the pot for that one. Ticking along I suppose - never going to retire on it though!
Present buying is coming along - we have even managed to wrap most of what we have bought... this is nothing short of a miracle!
Present hunting for OH over the weekend took a nose-dive as he insisted on coming shopping with me!
Off to do some work, have a nose over my accounts and check my spreadsheet is still awesome!

Morning All!
So..... what's new with me?
1) fleabay item sold late last night = £9.93 in the pot. Have to go to the PO today anyway so it is all ready to despatch!
2) Spent a lovely 7 hours in A&E on Sat evening with OH - he had severe abdo and back pain. All tests and xrays came back clear so they have decided it is a form of gastro-bug with odd symptoms.
3) received a bonus in my Christmas pay-check. After all the taxes and additional deductions (doubled my student loan payment for example) I am £590 up on my usual wage! The up side to this is that I have reduced the end date of my student loan by another month, so it is now 17th Nov 2017, reduced from 22 Dec 2017. Getting there!
4) presents almost all done - anything outstanding is because OH can't make a decision so I have left him to finish off those bits tomorrow.
5) turkey crown ordered for collection Friday. OH and I will go food shopping Thursday evening for the rest.


I am sure there is more... but at the moment I really cannot recall it.

Well hello All!
I hope everyone had a lovely, restful Christmas period?
We came back to work yesterday...YAWN! Not used to getting up when it's dark! Then I had a lovely 3.5 hour round trip to pick my parents up from the airport last night!
So...... what's new?
Fleabay total for 2016 = £236.59
The first item of 2017 was posted yesterday, £3.17 in the pot to get started! 4 items currently listed ... one has 3 watchers so hopeful it will go sooner rather than later. Collected lots of useful sized boxes from xmas so they are stashed ready to pack items up.
Received a rather generous Christmas present from my mum (felt very spoilt) in the form of a cheque. That's been banked and I am looking at the best place to put it to earn some (paltry) interest!
Logged into my emails this morning to see an email from the flight delay solicitors confirming the cheques have been posted. Ended up with £211.11 each person, so not too bad. There's no way I could have done it myself! I will be distributing the cheques over the weekend - can't wait to see everyones faces... no-one other than OH knew I was still persuing the claim!
I have £23.11 tracking in Q.co
I have £16.97 tracking in TCB
I have £8.00 in Pro.Ac.
This year, these 3 will be paid straight to my student loan fund and then the sales from fleabay will be split equally between the house account and my student loan fund. That's the plan!


So, I think that is me up to date for now!

Morning All!


1st working Saturday of the year! Great!!! It's not majorly busy so I have taken the opportunity to open a new current account which pays 3% interest on credit balances up to £3000. Just my luck that the interest rates have all reduced now I have some spare money I want to make work for me. This account didn't have a swap incentive, but it doesn't require me to set up any DD's either and I can access it 24/7 as its a current account. I will set up a SO to move money in and out once a month to show the account as active!
Still haven't braved logging on to look at the CC! Maybe this afternoon... or I may stay in denial for a bit longer and spend the time dying my hair instead!
