CC braved last night - was pleasantly surprised!! With all of xmas on it etc it was £1180 each. Now.... I know that is horrendous but I was honestly expecting more like £2000!! And that is everything from toilet roll, to the turkey, to fuel. OH couldn't even hazard a guess. Going forward, I must track what we put on there better. Almost everything we buy goes on the CC as we earn points etc. but it would be nice to know as we go long rather than play the "wait and see game".

Trying to boost balances on e-rewards and Pro.Ac. E-rewards will pay out in Nectar points. By splitting this years xmas food shopping into two transactions at the till, OH and I redeemed our nectar points and reduced our food bill from around £97 to £45. Happy with that - especially as I had redeemed batches of vouchers during the year too. I think I might try and save all the points for this xmas.

Impatiently waiting for the paperwork for my new account... I really do hate waiting!

Snow forecast for the weekend? For the first time ever, I don't want it... only because I have booked a ballet-fit class Sat morning! I cannot wait! :)

Well, despite it's best efforts we had no more than a dusting of snow - which then froze and became like a skating rink!
Ballet-fit class was amazing! Can't wait until the next one - but that's not this Sat as I have to work! Boo.

Had a text confirming my new account is open - just waiting for all the paperwork, card and pin to come through!
It's been a bit slow on the surveys and polls but I can't change that!
That's about it for now. January really is pretty dull isn't it! lol x

Q.co cashback paid out £1.17 yesterday and £10.00 today!

New account is all up and running. Have moved money into it to start earning a bit of interest. Not going to make me rich, but anything is better than nothing. At least it gave me a reason to update my spreadsheet! :)

    Oooooh - PAYDAY!
Apparently everyone was moaning that as we were paid early in December getting paid on Monday coming was mean... so we got paid today. So, spreadsheet updated again, and money moved as required. Need to wait until the end of next week before I can update again with interest and a account rewards (both of which will have reduced - pah!)
Off work this weekend - I have balletfit tomorrow morning and then a school reunion meal and drinks in the evening. Sunday we are out to lunch for OH's aunts birthday - well, she is 98!! Need to make a sensible food choice on Sunday as OH and I have decided to eat healthily and less carbs - so far so good (don't get me wrong I am not depriving myself - just making better choices!). I made lasagne with butternut squash sheets instead of pasta and we had a curry with cauliflower rice. All perfectly acceptable!! OH even picked up some broccoli rice - not sure what to have with that! Off to look for some ideas on the web!
    Have a great weekend - Nats x

    Morning All!
Well, the £11.17 has cleared into my account and I withdrew another £5.16 this morning. Adding this to my student loan fund means I have managed to bring my end date forward .... new date 28/10/2017.
This is good news as our workplace pension starts in Feb with contributions starting in May. I want to reduce the length of time I am paying out for both and then divert the money I was paying off my loan into my WPP. This will be the only pension I have ever had - so need to put in more than the minimum to prevent me being VERY poor in my retirement!! lol.
I have 8 days house-sitting at the end of the month - this should give me £80-100. As much as poss of this will go into my SLF as that will virtually knock another month off! YAY!
I am not a great fan of Feb.... I have OH's birthday, Valentines, my Mums birthday and then my Step-Dad's birthday. All in the shortest month of the year. Oh well, roll on summer!
Guess I should do some work.
Catch you all later, Nats xxx

Sorry I have been MIA.... life has been a bit hectic.

Anyway - it has all calmed down now and I have just popped in to report, that there's not a lot to report!

I have just requested £10.00 from Q.co so that will be winging its way over to my Student Loan Fund shortly.

OH's birthday, Valentines and Mums birthday all out the way - just Step-Dads to go.

House-sitting starts this Sat! Whoop Whoop! After the past couple of weeks, I am looking forward to chilling and healthy eating... whilst getting some extra exercise in walking the dog.

Ok, so that is my really rather boring update! Catch you all laters xxx

£4.09 withdrawn from Q.co this morning. Really haven't had much of a chance to do any surveys recently - must do some as cannot be a million miles from £20.00 on Pro.Ac.

House-sitting comes to an end Sunday evening. Money for that should appear in the next two weeks.

Better do a March summary of what's going on; it's looking a bit busy....
Afternoon out with friends for champagne and tapas - Groupon voucher already bought so just need to make sure we don't get too carried away with the fizz.
Overnight trip to London for a check-up for OH. This will involve train tickets for us both, dinner, hotel, breakfast, travel round London and car parking at the train station.
1.5hr journey each way to pick parents up from airport on their return for holiday.
Hen weekend away.... 4.5hr drive each way, 2 nights accommodation (breakfast included in both), two dinners, drinks out on the second night. Will take a bottle of wine to drink in the room on the first night as this is a pre-hen do night just for catching up. (associated costs to go with hen-do.... hair cut, new dress, new trainers - needed anyway but as we are going to go to the gym and a spin class thought I should look vaguely presentable, new PJ's).

I think that is pretty much it for the month... although I am sure more will crop up!!
Oh, I do need to make sure I transfer my SLF to the SL company before the end of the month to get the balance reduced before the next Statement is issued.
Hope everyone is ok - it's been a bit quite around here recently... but it's ok, I know it's because I bore you all!! lol
