I am just curious what you guys think about this? to be honest, i haven't noticed a lot of couples with that much of an age difference, but i've read other forums, magazines and keep hearing more about "cougars" and older women dating younger men in the media etc.

Is it more common for younger men to date older women? Also, would a guy in his mid 20's be too much of an age gap for a woman in her early to mid 40's to seriously date?

me personally, i find older women much more my type than younger women. Younger women tend to follow their peers and are very impressionable, immature etc, whereas older women know what they want and their maturity is much more attractive; they also take a lot more care of themselves.

What are your thoughts on this? Love is love, right, no matter the age?

I think the word cougar is a ridiculous one. Age gap relationships can work, I know a couple of people who are in relationships where the man and woman started the relationship when the man was in his mid 20s and the woman was 40 or so and they have been together a long time and are happy, but I dont think they got together because one of them liked younger men or older women, it just happened.

But, I do find it a bit odd when people only go for people of a certain age, what I mean is, I can see that people can meet and fall in love and it works. But for people to say, I only date someone of this age, speaking as someone who is in her mid 40s Id find it a bit odd if someone in their 20s only wanted to date me because Im over 40.

Plus, even in your opening post you are stereotyping people. I know immature 40 year olds and people who are in their 20s who are very wise. It surely has to be about the person, you cant just generalise and say women in their 40s are mature and take care of themselves, I know some 40 year old women who certainly dont.

Some ladies prefer 'older men' :).

True, but it tends to be those older men who have money.

It's not that I'm just interested in older women, in fact, I never considered older women before, but recently I have started broadening my mind to all types of women, especially older women.

I'm sure there are some women who don't look after themselves, but when I see most older women, they seem to look sophisticated and classy, so I would assume they take care of themselves in all other aspects too.

    It's groundhog day. :rotfl:

I think the OP has fantasies about older women and it excites him to talk about it on here.

You say you don't like JUST older women kingslayer, but every one of your threads I have read is about 'hooking up' with an older woman.

Not sure what your dilemma is either.

Maybe you are hoping to meet someone on here? There are a few *ahem* mature ladies on here. :p

:rotfl: I have to agree, not all older women are sophisticated and classy. It's not an age thing: you either are, or you're not.
