ps: Fmess I haven't seen the Aldi voucher advertised in the weekly email but you might want to check the paper tomorrow as it is usually towards the end of the month and so should be either tomorrow or next Thursday. If I see it I will post in the morning.

You must be telepathic, I was just going to ask if you'd seen it! I need to go out tomorrow anyway so will have a look too (fingers crossed)!!!

  • Hello people :) Just checking in after a week or so awol...sadly accessing web whilst nomadicly living from friend to friends house / work accommodation / campsite whilst my house was rented out for ten days completely threw any web discipline I had had. Luckily not financial discipline though..and I have generally been very good! Got a lot of expenses claims to juggle etc so I will be doing totals Friday am and then back to daily updates.

Stewarding at the festival worked out broadly well...kept me busy so spent very little additional money, the free meals were sufficient, met some fantastic people, and was fun to see it from the inside, all the infrastructure that goes into keeping so many people in a field happy.

In other news, bit sideswiped as my very determinedly platonic best friend of several years seems now to be wanting to go on a date with me. It took me years to get anywhere near over him (despite nothing ever happening) and now he's apparently woken up to..whatever. I have all my guards up but am off to hear what the man has to say!

Sorry to hear just from scanning last few posts that things have been tough for several people. Sending hugs and best wishes to those that need it...hold your nerve!

crazy_lady - That is so lovely! Although frightening I am sure. I have a lot of platonic male friends who have tried it on over the years. I am sure he has plenty of good to say. You're fab, he just took a while to notice, being a bloke and all ;)

Fmess, CEW - Which paper please?! I have discovered Aldi this weekend and a voucher would be lurvley depending on it's conditions! xx

Lilt The voucher is in the Daily Mirror not sure what it is called in Scotland but think it's the Daily Record.

The voucher is £5 off a £45 spend and is valid for one week. I always time my monthly shop to coincide with it. I love the fact that my shop which is already £'s cheaper than anywhere else is then another £5 cheaper :D

If it's not in this Thursdays paper it should be in next weeks.

Just been to the shops, the Ald! Voucher is in the Daily Mirror today, £5 off a £45 shop before 31/07.

The Daily Star and Express also have £5 off a £40 shop at hey diddle liddle.

    Hello everyone,

Hope you're well! Nearly Friday, hooray!

Another SFD for me yesterday, today should be too, but tomorrow I need to pay parking for work (will claim it back) so will post my godson's birthday present at the same time.

Calling14 - hope you're doing OK. It must be good to feel you did her funeral as your SIL wanted, but so sad.

Loveadove - hope job hunt is going OK and Stewby hope it good news for your OH too.

Thanks for updates on vouchers! I was hoping to just do a smalish grocery shop this weekend, now not sure if I should do a bigger stocking up one to use a voucher...thoughts?

MagicCat - canoeing isn't a regular thing for us it was an organised event. It was hysterical.

The 1 hour of TV rule has been a problem for me and one which I have just had to ignore. DH is a TV addict, he will watch anything, he turns it on as soon as he comes into a room then starts going through the listings over and over even though there is nothing he really wants to watch. We can't go out in the evenings together after a certain time as our kids are still young and are in bed at a reasonable time. Any suggestions anyone? He is very narky about it btw.

We were supposed to be going for a lovely day out today but both children were so rude yesterday that I am not taking them. By the way DD is behaving already today she hasn't learnt anything.

    food 105.38/108
petrol 67.38/40 unavoidable drive to funeral.
me 119/30 went off the rails - well included in that were new trainers 45 pounds, back getting reset (not planned) 35 pounds, face cream 20, and a romper suit 18 pounds - which they have now reduced to 14 - annoying,

Slapped wrists, next month will be good honest.

Today I am treating friend to lunch, as my back is bad, he is coming to see me and feeling guilty as he has paid all meals out lately. Found somewhere nice with fiver lunch menu - sorted.:T

1hr left in work hopefully my back will make it. No idea how I will manage a full day tomorrow, more painkillers.
