Last check in till next wednesday, as I'm off to Cornwall tomorrow on holiday. Groceries currently at 110.92 remaining out of £150, bagged another NSD yesterday taking my total to I think 7 (not amazing, but I'm already on more than I managed last month!) and I'm off into town to put some birthday money in the bank, which should mean I stop the cycle of dipping slightly into my overdraft on my current account. So all in all, a number of positive things happening today.
Enjoy the lovely weather everyone!
PS - Kat, can I sign up for August please? I'm not sure I'll have internet in time and I don't want to miss itProud to be debt free September 2014. :j

Spooky! We posted the same thing at the same time.
We seem to be in tune with each other at the moment :rotfl:
Glad the voucher is this week as it meanss I can plan my monthly shop for next week just after payday on Monday so in a new monthly budget.

Hi all
Thanks for the updates on both vouchers. I am debating the diddle one instead of Ald! as I know I can easily spend that much and use everything I buy effectively. MagicCat I have the same problem as you. I don't know whether to top up shop or use the voucher and commit to £40. A £5 off is almost equivalent to a kilo of chicken breasts, but my freezer can't really take any more punishment!
Dolly - Nice to see another mum who knows the value of proper and just punishment. I am sure DD will learn eventually :rotfl: - sad for you that you didn't get the day out but I applaud your determination! They will thank you for it one day when their own kids are driving them bonkers!
Calling I have the most acute sympathy for you today. I have several torn disks in my back that keep popping out and causing me extreme pain. I take about 100 30mg codeine tablets a month, most of which get me through my days at work in agony sitting on my chair all day. I am currently wearing a jumper to combat the chill of the air con, and have a hot water bottle on my back. Almost tablet time....
SFD #12 for me today. I need nothing. The cows milk was bought and paid for by Him this morning as he is the only one in the house who uses it and so he spent his £1 instead of mine. Since he isn't part of my household, I am not including his spends for entirely his own items in my own SD/SFD conundrum. If it benefited more than just him, I would class it as my spends!
Exercise, a very slow and decrepit walk to work this morning, and the same back tonight. I will not give in to a taxi! My spine may well give in on itself mind you.
Update on TV as I so rarely watch it I don't think about telling you! I think out of the allotted 24 hours I could have watched so far this month, I am up to about 3 and a half hours. :rotfl:
Check back in later!!

Good day wonderful people....
Sorry I have been a little silent over the last day or so. This new gym regime is killing me - although I am loving it. Got home last night after work all day and a LONG gym sess at 2230 and showered and hit the hay...
Bought to run out the door again ( apparently I have to do work whilst at work ) so will not go to the cinema but sit down and talk to you lovely people...
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Anyway - drivel ceases here until tonight... when I read what you have all been up too and drivel some more.. lol!

Enjoy your holiday speakingofart
Today has been a spend day as I bought 2 Aldeeni voucher containing papers, a Freddo, a pair of trainers and have visited the beauticians.
Really pleased as the Aldeeni vouchers mean I will stock the cupboards and freezer for the month on items that last, will do one shop tomorrow and one a week today, and can do the weekly shops at the same timeAlso loving the product vouchers and looking forward to some brie
Also got the bargainous trainers. Went into the sports shop attached to my gym, having decided that walking the dogs everyday in falling apart trainers is no good for my feet (they ache after every walk in the current trainers) and that I would use £30 from the unexpected payment last week to buy said trainers. I have small lady feet so checked in the junior section and their trainers go up to a size 5, then checked the sale section and they had a pair of decent looking ones for £10!!!!! To say I was chuffed, is an understatement!
Just been number crunching for the next month and not sure on how to budget as I have so many unknowns (hen do - prepaid but will be expected to bring some food/alcohol, electrician, boiler service and summer holiday activities). I have a pot of money already for the electrician and boiler service, but I am sure it will not be enough. I am thinking of taking a token amount of alcohol to the hen do as don't drink much and we have already paid into a kitty for alcohol. I hate not being able to plan properly
Sorry this is turning into an essay.
Final note: gym session done today so that's another exercise point.
On the note of TV watching, the challenge this month has seen me reduce my TV watching massively. I usually watch TV whilst I work in the evenings, during dinner and then until I sleep. Plus on a weekend or the holidays, occasionally I will watch it all day and all evening. Very much enjoying less TV, especially in this glorious weather.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hey all
SFD here, but no exercise as horrible tummy pain.. we are going to try a little walk later this evening when it cools down so that might count??
Already our minds are turning to August and what financial commitments we have coming up and how much we want to be able to pay off... we are setting our sights very high, and feeling good about it!
I am smelling very manly today as we are using up DH's xmas toiletry gift sets atm, to save buying any new toiletries, so the shower gel is very masculine! I will be glad when we finish that...
Tomorrow will be a spend day as we are going to have a plaque put up at the crematorium for dad, and going out for a family meal afterwards. I know the pub/ restaurant we are going to though, and know I can get a jacket potato for just over a fiver. I am also going to take dad some flowers and have decided to bring some of the lavender from our garden which is thriving. I can tie a bunch with some pretty twine we have. It will be free, but more importantly is far more personal than some shop bought bouquet - which he would have hated anyway.
Ok guys, I am off to enjoy the evening sun.. take care xLBM Aug 2013 - DEBTS AS OF THEN £25,150  now: £0 :j

Hi All,
Well today was going to be a spend day but OH paid for the paper with the voucher in out of his money to let me claim a SFD. I suspect it was also partly to shut me up as I was trying to decide whether the cost of the paper should come out of my grocery budget,as the only reason I was getting the paper was for the voucher, or out of my personal budget :rotfl:
Oh if only this was my only decision to make
Had a lovely lazy evening sitting under the gazebo in the garden watching the dogs and the chickens running around together. I could so do this every day.
Friday tomorrow then the weekend :j:T:j
Have a great Friday everyone

Hiya. So nightshifts over and that is another spend-free day so I am now up to 11. I have the chance of getting to 15 but it will be a challenge. Four to get in 6 days although we have the wedding on Saturday which will involve money.
Speaking of the wedding, I haven't looked to see if there is a chinese nearby.
:rotfl:
Hope everyone is doing well.
NSK... I am most definitely on board for August. My £400 is going to spread even further as OH is now contributing £60 a month to the food budget which means I will contribute £60 a month too.
I am really excited to save more money pay off my credit card. That probably sounds quite lame.
Hugs to everyone.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Well a very good **sheepish** morning to you all...
After a mammoth 2 hour gym session (way too long for my liking but attempting the new programme with cardio on the end - sillyness!!!) last night I got home and collapsed on my sofa after a scrub down. No food in the house so a bowl of plain spagetti with garlic butter later and I was ready for beddington... forgive me?? I know I planned a sit down to read through your news so I am going to do that today!
Lilt - I am hoping you still have those ingredients in the house as I am gonna have another read through and come up with ideas..
Stewby - August will be interesting to say the least....:A
Munchin - I really want to go to the beach.... but I have to work over the weekend.:(:(:(
Tiptoes - that lavender is such a good idea. It will dry out in this sun and still look lovely..
Fmess - I'd fall over if I had ickle feet like that ... but what a spectacular find!!
Speakingofart - I will put you down for August...
Dolly84 - do you have a movie collection you haven't watched in a while? ... I guess if you are dealing with an addict it's different but you could do something else ..? DH isn't really in on the challenge and it's hard controlling other people - as much as I try ..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...but I am impressed that you are putting your foot down with the kiddiewinks... make one scrub the house with a toothbrush and the other to cut the grass with nail scissors and then see how cheeky they are.. :rotfl:
Right sorry I must dash and get [STRIKE]a complete utter delicious monster fry-up [/STRIKE] some work done.......:o
(Anyone find this exercising makes you ravenous? I could eat 10 times a day now. But alas I am being sensible with porridge, rice milk, nuts and cranberries...)..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
