I'd like to run a hypothetical fleabay thing past experienced Flyladies. A seller lists item/s and a buyer pays for them, Collection Only. Between them the buyer and seller agree a price for personal delivery. Provided the seller gets the buyer to sign for the goods on delivery, and is paid cash for the 'delivery service' can anyone see any pitfalls?
    .

I've had that.. they intended to collect then their car died so they couldn't and I don't drive so couldn't deliver 'for fuel costs' .. I refunded the original payment and sent a new invoice with postage added, plus paypal fees and packaging.. no way would I be faffed that much.

I now also refuse paypal on collection only items normally, if they do pay by paypal, I refund and point out it was CoC only!

Cuppa made.. starting on the shawl border today :) Shouldn't take TOO long! :) everything else can wait!

    Happy birthday dancemum xx

Honey don't do it, as 'should' the buyer open a claim, eby WILL find in favour of the buyer, as the seller 'has to prove' it was delviered, and you cannot, eby WILL not accept a piece of signed paper, been there done that and learnt the hard way.

Raining here atm so a soggy Grand Prix for any one there today.

    Lunch made for wrk
Cleaned up after the cat, who had left entails of what ever all over the front mat, wonderful :(

    Happy Birthday Dancemum!

Aww, thanks Honey Bear. You and many other people on this list, who lead far busier lives than I do, keep me motivated too.

This morning I have prepared chicken tikka, to be cooked for a bring-and-share party this evening :)
Meanwhile DH has gone out to get the car cleaned
Will get on with my letter as soon as I've showered.

Thank you Pigpen and Kazwookie. Helpful and judicious advice as always.

It's a pleasure, DanceMum. And I'm not sure I am busier than you to be honest; you're a mum, after all and they're the busiest people in the world.

Honeybear - refund - ask for cash on collection or on delivery (and I mean cash - not a cheque) because the can onpen an INR if you cannot prove delivery by trackable means.

Have polished DS's shoes - he wore them for work last night and he has gone to a wedding today - with his sister. I needed them to look tip-top because it's their dad's wedding.

DW emptied; 2 washloads on the line. Bunny fed; cats fed.I'm off to the food market shortly. Then I need to get on top of things here and work wise.

Dogs walked, car booked in for MOT, will now catch up with a few emails before putting TV on. It's quite lovely having the day to myself with no plans. DH says he might be off the paid stuff tomorrow so I'm not to make plans for him either!

    Morning all

Rain over night very welcome to the garden.

Dancemum Happy Birthday, hope you enjoy your day

Honeybear and Kaz thanks for your kind words. Ithink my hormones and reducing my carbs has messed with my head, feeling more GUAG like today.

Time for a quick shower and then to ring my mother and crack on.
