    See here for more info.
"A DBS check has no official expiry date. Any information included will be accurate at the time the check was carried out. It is up to an employer to decide if and when a new check is needed."
Time for checks to be carried out is said to be 2 - 4 weeks , depending on the level of check - basic/standard/advanced/advanced with barred lists check.

    Evening!

We've been out all day again with my brother, so nothing done. How is the house a tip when we've not been here?

Kids in bed but I can hear DD wriggling about. She is telling me she doesn't know how to sleep  and is bed-hopping again.

I lost DS today. And his cousin  it was awful. He and my eldest niece have really hit it off, and we were in a wildlife park, they were running ahead. They planned a route to the tigers, and we all set off walking, DD and my younger niece holding hands, stayed close to me / SIL. So we get to the end of the walk way and the two eldest (5 and a young 8) are not there  We sit two youngest on a bench with granny, SIL sprints off in one direction, my brother in another and I retrace our steps. They had gone round to a different enclosure and so were behind us, but we were missing them for about 10 min, my brother had told the entrance staff and was standing at the exit to make sure no-one left with them! Anyway, I found the little monkeys and phoned my mum, to let everyone know. Phew.

They were both looking very worried when I found them and have had a stern talking to. I'm not sure how DS didn't cry, tbh. More to the point, I'm not sure how I didn't! But, they are safe and have learnt a valuable lesson. DS is always being warned about not going where I can't see him, but he and his cousin have got a bit carried away together.

Apart from that they've had a wonderful time. DD wasn't 2 last time they all met so it was lovely to see her and my youngest niece gel so nicely.

I'm too tired now to do much but tomorrow I have a list as long as my arm!!!

Hugs Bossy my DS2 was an abolute nightmare for getting lost. I ended up writing my mobil no up his arm in felt tip if we were out for the day!

Been to Mr M so have bargain Pimms as just one shot left in my bottle circa 2011.

Just doing dinner nd want to get DS3 to bed early.

Well done pixie! Isn't she only 9 months?

thanks all for the DBS info. I've applied for a dental receptionist position so I guess I'm only 'basic' in that I will come into contact with children (and perhaps vulnerable adults) who come into the surgery.

Bargain Pimms?! How soon can you get to Kent dusty :)

Bossy I was lucky with my two. But I had friends whose children were determined to play hide and seek in very public places... they had no idea the panic they were causing!

Actually I did 'lose' DD aged 3 in Croydon Ikea... only for about 30 seconds but I was so frightened
