Evening.
We have been very naughty. We have family over from abroad, I thought tomorrow, but late last night had a message to meet up at a visitors farm today.
<whispers> so I didn't take DS to school today
I just felt too mean taking his sister but not him, and he hasn't seen his cousins (other than Skype) for 2yrsthey and an absolute ball! After 10 min of settling into each other, they all started racing around together and playing. DS likes older girls
and I remember him being quite taken with my eldest niece last time
bless him.
We are meeting them tomorrow too. Being in Yorkshire, we are planning our visits around the Grand Depart. So today we went south, lol.
Consequently little flying has happened today. I will S&S the bathrooms tonight, maybe. But I'm also considering dragging the littlies out to the supermarket. We have nothing in other than the giant gammon  which is very nice and we all keep pinching a bit as we go past...Bossymoo

Naughty Mummy Moo! (If I had children and found myself in those circumstances, I'd have done the same thing.) It sounds as though you all had a lovely day.
Big hugs for Dot; I like your approach, Pigpen.
And thank you Dusty. There are times when life is more important and both you and your friend deserve time out and together. I hope it helped you both feel better.
This is my version of not being well. I sleep like the dead for about twelve hours for three nights in a row and can't control my body's temperature. I then just can't get myself going at all and have to stop completely - AF long since departed so it's not really 'that.' Fortunately for me (but not for him) OH wasn't well this week so he's been rather nice to me today because I looked after him. The Great British Sewing Bee is back on iplayer (the signed version). I missed the whole series so I'm catching up on it. Lovely. I have plans for tomorrow for which I need to be okay.Better is good enough.0 -

Can you tell me how long you have to wait for someone to collect something they have bought on ebay?

Feeling very chuffed with my achievements today. I confess to not wiping down the skirting boards behind the piano. I realised after I had put it back and just couldn't face pulling it out again
. I had hoovered them already
.
Not been up in the loft yet as I'm now waiting for someone to come and collect the cd rack.
We're off out for the day tomorrow. DH has resisted buying any food for picnic. I'm still waiting from contact from somebody who paid for a collection item via paypal (despite CoC requested) in February. I sent loads of emails. Not refunding if they cant' be bothered to email and they have been active on bay of e since. Thing is I'd have refunded if they had made an effort.
Feeling a bit down at not getting anything done. I have cut the grass, just don't seem to be able to settle to actually getting anything done, maybe tomorrow will be different. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm trying to write my big DIY shopping list. Its not going well. I hate trying to calculate how much paint I'll need, especially when its across multiple rooms.
DD has picked a colour for a 'feature wall' in her room but its too dark. She's got her heart set on something similar to C@dburys purple so I'm going to grab the correct 'shade card' from the DIY shop and find a lighter version of it.;) I'm going for another purple but with more red in it for my room. Bathroom & kitchen I already have the paint for but I need to buy some stain sealer stuff for the ceilings/walls where we've had black mould growing. Hallway I've decided to just fix the wallpaper and repaint it again, way too much hassle to strip/wallpaper it
I still can't decide on paint colours for the livingroom. The red looks okay at one end of the room but awful the other, the brown looks great the other way around :rotfl: Then again I could choose wallpaper...but its deciding on a pattern then :rotfl::rotfl:
I also need to decide on a colour for the back door. Its a frog from when I moved in here 10 years ago and it WILL get painted this summer
Off to make friends with Utube & g00gle while I wait for my phone to charge. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
