Hi Folks.
I've not been about this past week or so, due to my 60th Birthday celebrations
I rented this place for the week.

During my time there I hosted, three dinners, three Lunches and one afternoon Tea, and a kiddies Party! Over the week I had 43 visitors, of which 37 climbed to the top of the Tower!
Now I need a rest - I'm knackered :rotfl:0 -

Hope nobody from the employer spots him as he isn't dressed in work clothes..
Would it matter if they did? I've known plenty of people who've come to work in running/cycling gear and changed on arrival. It's acceptable generally, isn't it?lostinrates wrote: »Oh, and I have a cold and a realLy bad back. I think the bad back is fro. Longer on motorbility lawn mower and the cold is just one of those things.
Throats raging, don't know what I can take because of my meds.
Hope you feel better soon. It's been a glorious day here today. 28C and sunny. Unfortunately I've been feeling a bit post-cancerous so haven't really been able to enjoy it.
Hope you feel better soon, too.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Doctor pleasant enough, but not a lot of use!
Nasty thing on face he thinks is an infectious granuloma. His first suggestion was for him to refer me to get it cut out! So it could be looked at to check what it was. I think I must have turned pale, so he suggested we tried antibiotics for a week, and go back in 2 weeks if it isn't any better.
Blood tests for Vit D level to be done, along with full blood count, fasting lipid profile, urea and electrolytes, bone/calcium profile, liver profile. Have to fast from 10 pm before getting blood drawn. Prob won't go tomorrow as the chap's coming to measure up old home and do the EPC.
When I asked about my good upper body strength compared to my walking and standing ability he seemed a bit flumoxed. Suggested perhaps it was because I exercised my arms more than my legs <I really really want the roll eyes smiley back here!> and asked if I'd had any physiotherapy. Which came as a bit of a surprise to me. Offered referral for physio, but I said I didn't think it would help. Basically it would just be graded exercise, which I do not believe would be helpful in any way, and would actually make things worse. Asked who I saw usually, she's left. Only other doc there I've seen before it was around 15 years ago, and never saw him about the ME/CFS anyway.
Just as we were about to go into the surgery OH had a phone call from our neighbour at caravan to say in the dreadful wind and rain storm last night our skylight in the kitchen had blow open.Later OH called him back, he went in and managed to shut it and mopped up the wet floor with towel we'd left in kitchen.
Good, kind, helpful neighbour.
:j
Anyway, after all that we went to EAs for identity check. Seeing as we don't have passports OH took his photo driving licence, and I took Blue Badge. Council tax bill worked for both of us for rest of it.
I'm kerknackered now! OH has gone to fill my prescription, so I'm off to the front porch for cig and G&T! :beer:0 -
