WHY do people let themselves in for this sort of thing. Is it just some kind of "want my 5 min of fame even if I have to let somebody trash my house to get it" mentality? I don't get it.

I think, generally, people hope they'll get a good designer and get something lovely.... for free. If you've no money and no taste/style and don't know what would be good ... it can seem like the perfect solution.

Unfortunately, the designers the programme have picked have strong opinions about what's good.

I missed Spirit time too. :( But I vibe randomly every day, while I don't know Spirit that well, compared to most of you, I still care. So I vibe away randomly, timing doesn't matter that much - vibes work across time anyway is my belief. Though I do like the idea of all doing together too. Just today been a bit weird for me and OH, too much going on.

EEK just had HUGE spider run across living room!

Might have to go to bed to be away from it... Aarrgghhh It's that time of year I suppose. Huge one in bathroom a couple of days ago too. Thank goodness OH isn't scared of them. DD2 made a bad choice of hubby in *one* way - he's as spider phobic as she is! ;) But he's nice bloke in other ways, we're very fond of him, and he's very kind to me - has to fix my computer embarrassingly often! :o And never complains.

Hamster safely back in cage. :)

She woke up while we were out of the room - even DD couldn't watch the piano forever without food - and when we came back we found she had come out from behind the piano and gone under the sofa instead. DD watched carefully to check which end of the sofa she was, and I pulled the lever to recline the other end. Then there was enough space underneath to put one of the long cage tubes (with food inside) under there, so when she went in I grabbed it, covered both ends, and transferred her to the cage. Phew.

Interesting that when she was lost I called her "it" but now she's safe again I have gone back to calling her "she". Hmmm...
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Seems funny that one NP is trying to retrieve a rodent whilst another is desperate to get rid of hers...

On another thread someone is using an example of something I know a lot about and I am trying to respond in a manner that is suitable and only includes publicly available information, tricky. I bet Chewie and Spirit face similar issues all the time on MSE.
    I think....

It's okay. DW and DD lit four candles between them this evening, so that's plenty to go around.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I nodded off during WDYTYA, but I think it was probably quite a dull one.
