I stopped asking for business cards when they gave us new ones with rounded corners.
Someone from the SFO gave me one of theirs the other day, it was in portrait rather than landscape, I'm not sure what that was supposed to signify but I just found it even more annoying than a landscape one with rounded corners.0 -
Not watching that. Derren Brown is on in the background. Should put the radio on really...
Where do you draw the line at trying to save a pet? It's a difficult one and not a decision I'd wish to make.
Did remind me of a story that I saw last week though:

Derren Brown show was worth watching as usual. He always manages to look as though something hasn't quite worked but it comes together at the end and leaves you baffled about how he does it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

There was some online chatter over the last ten years about some business circles in Japan where you wear gadgets that allow you to trade email addresses etc. via electronic business cards you download via skin conduction when you shake hands.
The email addresses would be stored in wearable chips built into your shoes or clothes. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Twenty years ago, my palm pilot had the ability to send my business card to anyone else in the meeting with a palm pilot. It was all done with infra red comms at 14k bps. However, to save battery life, most people switched off infra red. So instead of all just holding up your palm pilot and pressing one button, it would have required everybody fiddling with the settings to turn ir back on first. Anyway, how nerdy can you get? I'm sure it seemed like a wonderful idea back at palm pilot HQ.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I bought 40 palm pilots from Gateway when they closed down for, IIRC, £30 a pop
We sold them for about £90 each.0 -

I had portrait business cards when I worked for a design company in the 1980s. I had a small chuckle at the thought that it has taken public sector marketing bods the best part of thirty years to catch up.
Are your rounded corners for health and safety reasons? I wish to start an internet rumour that the Civil Service has introduced them to stop people accidentally stabbing themselves on sharp corners.Twenty years ago, my palm pilot had the ability to send my business card to anyone else in the meeting with a palm pilot. Quick question for the nice peeps. Is Palm pilot not a rude term also? It is in my world. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

There is nothing on my facebook that I would worry about any of my business contacts seeing - how sad is that
I'm funny about exactly who sees what, but I can honestly say the same. Not sad, just sensible
We have officially, as of yesterday, applied for Georgian AOC. I'm little scared, but excited at the same time 💙💛 💔0 -

Its in the urban dictionary... (you lot are a bad influence! I'd never have thought of looking it up in there before). Quite an obvious rude meaning really!
p.s. nice to see you around again viva. Hope you've been busy doing something fun.0 -
OT coming today......I'm a teensy weensy little bit nervous.
No idea what she is going to do/ask/examine....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
