Icing hides a multitude of sins. Or so I found when I made the kids' birthday cakes.
Lol, does when the cake is round. And relative normal topped. This is meant to have caramel dribbled and nuts sprinkled on top..
I'll see. Hopefully it will still taste good.
Funnily enough I chose to make this because its less decadent than my usual autumn apple cake which I thought might be ott.0 -

I hadn't planned on getting one of those either!
Cannot you pretend its sort of a cat wannabe? Kiwi is on my lap now being quite feline he wants to be quiet and have his head stroked.0 -
DW was made redundant by a very respectable employer when she was away on maternity leave. Her job still existed, but they had filled it whilst she was away and liked the replacement more than her.
That is so not legal.
You are not redundant unless your job no longer exists.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

She used to organise their events - it was a chamber of commerce. One day, she decided to carry her IBM Golfball typewriter from one side of the room to the other. She got most of the way across before dropping it. They were remarkably good about it considering it was worth over £500 (in 1980, so much more in present day £££s). So, when they messed her about with the non-redundant redundancy, she was prepared to let it go.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

"He likes you" - when you're wearing clean/good clothes, doesn't cut it
Dog owners don't "get it" .... I don't mind a dog - so long as it stays at a distance and just looks at me, then sits still until I've gone.
Kiwi hops up if invited. He had a willy hair trim yesterday.
Fwiw, I urge people never to wear good clean clothes here if fir is not here to help me vacuum before they arrive. :eek:0 -

If it was back then, it was probably not illegal, but to be expected. Before all these new laws started racking up.
I remember using golfball typewriters - with the handy/great "Video case" that contained more balls, with different fonts.0 -
Wheezy westie once did a messy runny poo during a walk with some sloppy bits still hanging round his bum. The plan was to usher him asap in the shower when we got home, but as it rained, he did a doggy shake in the hallway and splattered all over the walls. I find it funny looking back, but it wasn't back then.
It's easier to laugh when it's your dog, you chose to take it out, you saw what it did, you took it back to your home and he did it ...... for a non-dog-owner, if you turned up at my house and he did that I'd not want you/him ever to come round again, ever....ever, you hear! Don't need it!0 -

If my dog had had a "needs to go in the shower" event like that, I would not be taking him into anybody's house until he was clean. If I was staying a long way from home, I would be apologetically asking my hosts for a hose (if possible) or bucket of water (if hose not available).
That reminds me - if plans to get a dog next year are to go ahead, I need to organise getting an outside tap fitted.
Just been for a walk down to the local shop and back to pick up a few bits. Met and stroked many dogs on the way there and back. One looked just like the pics of Kiwi, and her owner confirmed that she's a Bedlington.
Also, when driving home from work today, I saw one of these sitting on the shoulder of a person standing on the pavement in town. Gave me a bit of a surprise!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? If our dogs had an event like that I think they'd be washed down outside too. Sadly the only time ours have they've been inside already.
Most unpleasant thing about ours ( IMO) is big dog who drinks a lot and always has a wet drippy beard as a result, and now has bad breath because a tooth needs to come out, but not worth doing because.......0
