Banging, how big is your washing machine, and how close would you say your load relates to that? Also, did you load it one piece at a time or in a big shove?

It's probably not doing anything that it didn't used to ..... but before it was directly on vinyl on a concrete floor - and the machine wasn't "boxed" in so much, so if it'd moved while spinning it wouldn't have been so noticeable.

Anyway - it's now drained, slow spun ...and is sitting silently. And it's just started moving again ....

We're re arranging food and I'm getting tired.

    This is how I sound,

'No. Thas bouks abat fud nut abat booking. '.

Fir thinks as well as getting tired and struggling with words sometimes I should stop reading Scottish threads.

Can you turn the spin speed down. Ours will go up to 1,400rpm but I usually turn it down to 600 or 800rpm cos it makes much less racket.

Well, banging side to side..... I've got a few short videos now, which are similar....

I think it's finished now....that was nerve wracking.

Everything in the kitchen was shaking (e.g. the microwave oven door was open and I could see it moving).

It'snot much in there. Just two pairs of jeans, a T shirt and a lightweight dress.... in fact, once it'd started, I thought "d4mn, that should have had more in it" So hardly anything at all.

Uh-ho -it's started up again .... off to see what it's doing now - sounded like it was putting water in again ..... I thought the torment was over! If I'm lucky I'll have heard a final drain/pump noise :)

    Phew: THE END.

OMG, how can you wash so little after so long!:D

Possibly uneven loading with so little?

I think, on this one, you turn it up (or not) - and I don't touch it.... so it's at the lowest speed. It's not digital. The front's got a dial and buttons. No displays.

Other people call it quiet. http://www.appliance-reviews.co.uk/p/Indesit-IWB5123-Washing-Machines-in-White-24801/reviews#tabs

I've been hand washing - and creating a pile.... and I didn't want to put too much in "first time" "in case".

I did wonder if it was uneven/too little... especially with two pairs of jeans.... not that mine are big jeans, but they'd still hold water.

That's a fab haul from the car boot, PN - those curtains look fab and everything else fits really nicely with your developing beach theme!

Glad the w/m has now finished without any actual harm being done. Hopefully you've seen how its cycle looks and sounds, it will become less worrying as time goes on.

We've got a cycle event going on in town today, where they shut many roads and allow cyclists of all ages and abilities to cycle a circuit. Plus lots of stalls, things to have a go on, etc at a park on the route.

I did it as it looked fun last year. My face has a little logo painted onto it, I got a free tabard, and the bike has had a quick 'service' from Halfords - which has left it not changing gears smoothly

Hopefully my neighbour will know how to fix it.

That comes under the rule: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)

I hung my washing on the airer.... popped it outside.... and it's started spitting with rain. Typical. As I've patio doors though, I can bring it just inside and it'll still get any breeze.
