I drink my coffee black these days.
Does that mean you are on your way to rescue lir with razor blades?
Can I recommend Amazon prime? Order by 6pm and delivered next day. OK it costs money, but most things are cheaper on amazon, so you get the savings on what you buy.
Need a new laptop for DS2, thread here if anyone has seen any deals. May need your collective help to translate the stuff the geeks may post in answer.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I have probably a really dunces question about amazon prime. Is it the same amazon prime that lets you borrow books for 'cheap' on kindle?
And what's it got to do with downloading films?
Is it all connected?0 -

You could try to put in a cheeky Milk and More order. IF it's in your area .... and IF there's a delivery slot tomorrow ..... items cost more/item, but there's no delivery charge and no commitment.
They do milk ... and, er, other stuff.0 -
If you'd prefer a lift to hospital on Wednesday, I know an NP south of you that might as well sit in her car seat for 2 hours driving north ... than sit on the sofa for 2 hours eating biscuits.0

Just seen a raven flying across the bay, it made a lovely hoarse crark crark sort of noise. First one I've seen this trip. I do like ravens! There are choughs on Cilain, not heard them this year (sometimes you can hear them from the caravan if the wind's in the right direction).
Yesterday evening we were sitting in the sunshine on the deck outside the front door. The birds were coming and sitting in the hedge, looking longingly at the feeders, they won't come and feed when we're sitting outside, even though we sit pretty still and don't flap or make a lot of noise.I commented on this to OH, and then said "It's not like we look like sparrow hawks". Within about a minute there was a sudden kerfuffle, big bird swooped down into hedge, chased a small bird round the branches of a rhodedendron bush and then further along the hedgerow. Amazing how swiftly the big bird could twist and turn in the confined space of the bush. I've seen similar once before, when one came after a blue tit in our crab apple tree. On that occasion the blue tit got away. We don't know if yesterday's little bird did or not.
Just washed my hair in the shower, it's utterly utterly straight. Combed it through and that's it. Need it cutting, goes very flat when it gets much below my earlobes. Maybe next week, we have to be home for Friday for car to be serviced and me to meet my new dentist.
It's a gorgeous sunny day again, hazy over the mountains, not clear like yesterday. Wish we could stay on another couple of weeks!0 -

You sweet heart.
Fir is only at work today and tomorrow. So he can drive what ever cut and shut we get back ( I always drive there, I'm much faster than him) or mechanic might coax life into car by tickling under its chin or something , who knows.
Pre consultation lir is a bit like a caged wild animal. I get a trifle edgy. Otoh pre procedure/ op lir is fine usually. Bit excitable, like a primed horse in the starting box.0 -

You can borrow books for free, just like a library, but the restriction is that the authors have to have agreed to this and not many do. Also you can only borrow one at a time and only one a month.
Additionally there are many books that are free; I've noticed that authors with a series sometimes give the first book free. To see what is available search for 0.00 in the kindle store on amazon website.
I haven't bothered with the films, but lovefilm was bought out by amazon and merged into prime, so you can also get films as part of your prime account.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. One a month? Oh, that's not going to touch the sides..
Might be worth it for films though. And any extra free books of better quality.
Thank you silver car.0
