    I drank that ... 24 hours. I don't really drink water.

Just opened that bottle of squash in the fridge - and dug out a "fridge door jug" I've got. I'd also Googled in the week to find out the best ratio to dilute squash with (always had it by guesswork to date, but really want to find other drinks) ... so measured out squash and water into the jug .... got a mug of that now and the jug's in the fridge. Ratio tastes fine .... flavour of drink's not so good. Mr T's Peach and Apricot squash I think.... I've another after this one, Summer Fruits probably.

I think it's the fizz and cold I like in Pepsi..... fizz and cold..... I can get squash cold, but it won't be fizzy.

    Fizzy water, soda stream?

I really missed fizzy water when I first started these new pills, thankfully I got tolerance back for fizz some time ago. Its a bit of a treat really but its nice, I have favourite waters for different moods / meals/ times. :o

I do NOT indulge them of course.

Lovely sunny day today! Went and sat on the deck just outside the front door for a bit around 5pm and had to come back in as I was TOO HOT! :o Very still.

We're plotting for tomorrow... Last year we did actually manage to paint most of the deck with preservative, but not the back door step and deck (it's just big enough to put one chair out on it, it's nice there in Autumn if you hang the rug from the back "hallway" over the balustrade to stop the wind blowing on yer back). So we think we might scrub it down tomorrow while it's still on the shady side of the caravan, then let it dry off for a couple of days and then do the preservative stuff. I'd have liked to do the rest of the decking, but it's just not been feasible this year. Next year we'll bring the power washer down early in the season and make more of an effort. If we don't we'll have to get the nice guy in who did it for us ?2 ?3 years ago - he does a really good job, and very reasonably priced really, but with the ramp (in case my walking gets so bad have to use wheelchair, but has been great for the GSs too as they love running up and down it) as well as the decking it's a big job, so does come in a bit expensive.

Cloudless sky, so guess it's going to get chilly again tonight. Should put on loads of warm clothes and go out take a look at the stars later. I'm always full of good intentions about doing that, but when the time comes it's too cold! I'm a wimp. :o

OH just set off to A*DA in Pwllheli, but turned up a couple of minutes later... He was thinking of our SiL going there to buy nappies, he got everything else on the list, but forgot the nappies so had to drive back again. And that was in the height of August, so traffic horrid... Anyway, OH suddenly started thinking of that, and thought what have I forgotten? Ooops wallet!

I am so pleased to hear that! So do I and people think I'm mad.

In fizzy water terms, I love Badoit because it seems to have smaller bubbles and a selzer-ish taste. I also like the Italian fizzy waters: San Pellegrino has a zest and joy about it and Aqua Panna its still sister is pleasant too. Not a big fan of Perrier, it's a bit harsh.

In still water terms my absolute favourite is Evian, my least favourite (to the point of avoidance) is Volvic. British waters are for the most part fine. I quite like waters that have a slightly chalky taste, that may come from being from the Chilterns.

Based on this I'm recommending either lager or sparkling wine as suitable alternatives

    Carbonated water?
    Carbonated water with squash?

The second paragraph is what I give the kids. ;)

I think what a lot of people forget is 'authority' is just 'people'.

Obviously one hopes suitably educated, informed and insured people. We both expect too much and demand too much and yet help too little and support to little to make this easy on systems of authority. Whether its procedural or whatever.

Exactly this and yet they feel they are qualified to meddle in other people's lives.
    I think....

Pan a, is as its name suggests, soft and creamy, and pellegrino is exuberant but still soft, I agree with your description. I do like Perrier, but yes, its ' bigger, harsher, and not as light drinking or thirst quenching. Its bubbles are sharp.

Badoit is what I want when I feel tender and depleted but want something of a change. It feels almost medicinal in a not nasty way.

I think evian is like gap or marks or waitrose: its totally useful and inoffensive, no one can dislike it and its incredibly useful basic. ( because I'm struggling with keeping intake up ATM I bought an evian six pack this week for the bedroom) its always welcome.

Our filtered water through the fridge is amazingly drinkable though. The tap water was not good, the filtered water, good. I'd rather drink tap water when I am motivated. The bottles bust help me over humps. I have to drink very large amounts so the variation in flavours helps a bit.

Well, that's partly because people , when something does wrong, don't take any responsibility and say 'where were the authorities' or 'no, I won't do Nything, its up to the authorities, if it were wrong the authorities would be sorting it out'.

To a certain extent though, in many circumstances, they are. That's why we're not all e.g. medics.

Definitely not always. That is where the difficulty comes. Without the benefit of hindsight it is difficult to judge who is right and who is wrong.

I hope little Ashya and his parents/ family enjoy their reunion, and that successful treatment is found for him - whatever it may be.

I like an aggressive fizzy water. The Sainbury's Scottish sparkling water is my favourite one.

I know nothing of fizzy waters. Only ones I've bought have been a couple of bottles of cheapo/basics 2litres of fizzy water at supermarkets about 10 years ago. I thought I'd try it with squash ... but it goes flat.

I've not heard of some of the waters listed above - in fact, I can't believe people just had a conversation about water brands!!!
