I think what a lot of people forget is 'authority' is just 'people'.
Obviously one hopes suitably educated, informed and insured people. We both expect too much and demand too much and yet help too little and support to little to make this easy on systems of authority. Whether its procedural or whatever.0 -

No doubt when I do spend more time in the kitchen I'll notice it a LOT more ... but, people walking down the road like to stop and chat on their phone - and get out their diaries etc - using the corner of my wall and facing my house while they do this.
The wall is about 2' higher than my kitchen floor level, so to wander in there and see somebody just 4' from the window, facing the house, on their phone, is a little "surprise"/disconcerting, depending on how one is dressed......
If it gets to any stage where there's "a lot" doing it, I might set up a webcam for fun/amusement/enjoyment to share these oddballs. Or just set up one of those "water spray" devices, intended to keep cats off the lawn.
Is it on your property?
Is it a right of way?
Can you fence it so as to deter people?
I like the cat deterrent idea. They wouldn't stand there too often. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Here we had a nice leap forward today. The membrane went down and some gravel. He realises he's ordered about fifty percent less gravel than he needs, the order may have gone in too late for tomorrow.
We agreed on a step into another part of the garden, mainly because I just want to get it done and a step seems the quickest way. I also think we are not going to have enough flagstones. But we'll see. I might be wrong. I was quite hoping to have some left over!0 -
Where is Hamish?
I was hoping he'd be drinking something lovely this evening and would describe it for me..
There is a thread with someone talking about an alcoholic and its made me thirsty. I'd love to be talked through a wonderful drink.....the smell, the taste, the feel of the glass on your lower lip.......
. I want a drink.its not alcoholism, its sensualism.
I'd be happy with quarter of a glass with something. I think.
Stoopid pills.

Public footpath... it's like they're walking along talking on their phone.... then the wall ends so they take the time to stop/rest and get their diary out to chat to their friend/whatever.0 -

It's a refreshing, COLD, tasty drink I crave .... and, to date, only Pepsi gives me that feeling of refreshment.... I'd switch if I could find an alternative.0 -

I really fancy a nice cool beer or a glass of wine now.

You just bought a huge bottle!
Do you, like alcoholic drinks, have a water in between drinks?

I drank that ... 24 hours. I don't really drink water.
Just opened that bottle of squash in the fridge - and dug out a "fridge door jug" I've got. I'd also Googled in the week to find out the best ratio to dilute squash with (always had it by guesswork to date, but really want to find other drinks) ... so measured out squash and water into the jug .... got a mug of that now and the jug's in the fridge. Ratio tastes fine .... flavour of drink's not so good. Mr T's Peach and Apricot squash I think.... I've another after this one, Summer Fruits probably.
I think it's the fizz and cold I like in Pepsi..... fizz and cold..... I can get squash cold, but it won't be fizzy.0 -

Based on this I'm recommending either lager or sparkling wine as suitable alternatives
Carbonated water?
Carbonated water with squash?0
