I don't know anything about planes, but I think a Vulcan, or that shape, just went over my house. It was really slow/low. Camouflaged ..... but I still saw it, it didn't fool me!
Just checked, yeah, it was a Vulcan XH5580 -
I have this theory that drinks taste best out of glass bottles then cans and worst out of plastic bottles, I think related to the heat capacity of the containers and hence their ability to keep the drink cool?I think....0

I don't like the plastic bottles as they're harder to fit into the fridge. With cans you can put 1-2 in, with a bottle it's the whole or nothing. You also have to pour them very very carefully (and use a mug) so they don't flatten what's left in the bottle.... and they don't seem to get as cold as liquid in a can.
The first half of a bottle, poured carefully, is usually "passable" for fizz..... after that it goes downhill. Cans are fizzy all the time.
Bottles/100ml are cheaper ... but not so good/p.
Apart from the hassle of driving to Mr A .... it's a £2 cost (fuel there/back) .... so it was a payoff I was prepared to make this time. If fizzy only came in big bottles I'd probably give it up.0 -

The ones I have to do most often are the French windows . The dogs stand out there and press their noses against the windows when they want to come in.0 -

I checked mysupermarket and the cheapest place for Pepsi this week is Asda - and I really couldn't be bothered to battle with the crowds on the roads (locals/Sunday shopping + weekend tourists + air show visitors) .... so I decided not to get any. Then I was in Lidl and they had bottles at 99p, so I thought "just this once".
..... what a nuisance - 2 litre bottles don't fit in the fridge door. 2 litre bottles are also deeper than the fridge interior .... so I've had to fit it in (JUST!) sideways ... where it's cluttering up almost an entire shelf to itself.
I understand this. I have the same problem with a bottle of sparkling water today.
I won't drink pop that's been in a plastic bottle. Cans or glass bottles onlyEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Plastic bottles leak gas, so their shelf life is only about 9 months. Cans and glass are less permeable hence have longer shelf lives and taste better.
PN- look out for 1.5l bottles, they are thinner.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. That's it.
I'm done.
Our garden looks incredibly glum right now:(. I the white one is full of stuff and I cannot get to it to sort it out which is a shame because it could look half decent with a tidy up,
The other one just looks exhausted.0 -
