    It does indeed.

Funnily enough, it feels like a time of big change is all around us at the moment, I know a lot of people IRL as well trying new directions in life, moving houses, getting new jobs, etc.

Almost a bit like people have been in a metaphorical bunker for the last 7 years, and are now coming out of it and getting on with things.

    Good to see really.

Bugs Trucking is, on the whole, ridiculously busy. We've added a tractor unit and an additional driver recently and my spend with my main sub-contractor has gone up by about 20k a month.

Thanks for the talk about non-grass lawns by the way, I'm quite seriously thinking of converting the front garden from grass (well, mainly moss).

I've had a lavender hedge along the side of the house for the last few years, very popular with the bees. Unfortunately it had more or less died, it was planted in the wrong place really, too wet and windy for it.

Must have a look at the lawn discussion. The chap that cuts the grass keeps going awol and it's currently knee height.:(. I've been tinkering with the idea of artificial.......:o

Had similar when I experienced shocking treatment from my last employer. Changed a lot of my perspective on life. Really affected me.

I think we all have wake up calls somewhere along the line, though preferably not of the Gen variety. Working for yourself is stressful but at least it's 'your' stress and not stress for someone else and that makes a huge difference.

    Congrats to PN:beer:

Had my first B12 shot today.

The good news is that it was in my arm and not, as a friend whose MIL has them had told me, in my bum. Which was just as well, because it was a lot easier to get on with my life with my left arm and hand aching for several hours than it would have been if it had been half my bum and most of one leg. It's very odd to have a muscle ache that isn't remotely affected by using the muscles involved, but quite manageable.

The nurse says today's will make no discernible difference at all to my energy levels. If I'm like most people, then after Wednesday I should start wondering whether I am slightly better or just imagining it, and after next Monday I should know that it's working, with next Wed & Fri finishing the job off. Hope I do indeed turn out to be like most people in that respect.

Thought about how trivial my health stuff is compared with Gen, lir and Spirit, and wondered whether to bother posting about it, but decided we've been over this ground before and everyone always says post anyway. Hope that's OK.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Pleased you are looking after yourself, Lydia. It's not trivial at all.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

OH has been under stress at work; turned a corner and I think it is now pressure. He is not his usual happy self, but a lot better than he has been.

Thank you. I hope that too. :D

Five over two weeks. Would have been Mon, Wed, Fri, Mon & Wed, but the nurse didn't have any free appointments for this Friday that were in my available slot between dropping DD at school at 9.00 and my usual Friday start time at work, which is 10:30. So I'm having Mon, Wed, Mon, Wed & Fri instead.

Since I only work half of full time equivalent, I don't think it's reasonable to take time off during the working day for appointments unless it's an absolute emergency, which this clearly isn't.

Hope things carry on getting better now that the corner has been turned. :)
