It's a neigbour who is trying to wangle her way out of the street so is trying all sorts to get extra points....she has put in a complaint about virtually everyone in the street and the housing association has to investigate every single one just in case there is any merit to her complaint.
I don't even know the person, never spoken to her as she lives a fair way down the street and hasn't been here all that long. Mine was a pretty mild complaint, I feel sorry for the ones living next door and opposite her, she has made their lives a living hell the last couple of months. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Nicely potted up, Nikkster!0

Yup - I ventured out at about 9pm last night to pot them up!
And here they are now:
Think most of the pots are 2" rather than 3, but they'll have to do for now.
That is very neat.
I might get that far..then the next challenge they face is can I be !!!!!d to water them diligently rather than in an erratic ad hoc way:(0 -

It only looks neat because you can't see all the soil in between the pots. I expect my watering will be erratic.
I'm sure in the not to distant future I'll be posting about my lonely lavender plant.... That I've just had to go out and buy!0 -

That's always my problem. I can get the project part done: do some planting and make them look nice. It's the watering and the weeding that I get fed up with.0 -
Finally caught up!
Been an eventful and stressful week or so, youngest had fall out from his visit to the college last week which culminated in him refusing to leave the house at all and completely locking himself away. This had the knock on effect that he missed his leavers assembly with the traditional shirt signing etc that goes with it.
Josh is also stressed out which resulted in an aggressive outburst on Thursday night.
I also got stressed out as there was a malicious report about me which meant that the housing association wanted to do a house visit. The report was completely unfounded but it added stress on all of us that was not needed and contributed to youngest's stress levels (he doesn't like people in the house and it was on the day when he was at his most stressed)
Saying all that though, there was a positive outcome from the visit...they are talking about finally giving me the kitchen they promised 16 years ago, putting up an extra handrail on the stairs as my mobility is reduced, changing my boiler to a more efficient one and putting in a more disability friendly bath to make things easier.....not the result the neighbour was going for! :rotfl:
Oh Sue. So sorry it's been so tough.
V glad to hear about the proposed improvements, though. Hope they can get tradespeople in to do them without distressing youngest too much.
Do let us know if he calms down and comes back out of his room.
Sending dodgy hugs: :grouphug:It is not trivial at all. I would not swap places. All your challenges you have to tackle by yourself.
Whatever I face I have my lovely husband alongside me. It does not make me well, but does make me happy.
What a truly heartwarming thing to say. Thank you Spirit. I appreciate your expression of support for me, and I'm also happy that somebody has a wonderful marriage, even if it can't be me. (Other NP with wonderful marriages, please don't feel left out of that comment.)Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Not a song, but a set of magic tricks. Any ideas how he does it?There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Fair enough. It's a shame he missed out, but if he's not too bothered then that's definitely for the best!
I've still got my signed shirt from leaving school - somewhere in my wardrobe at my parents' house.
My year at school was terribly organised, and thought the normal shirt-signing was just too lame for words. It happened at our school at the end of the Upper Fifth (just after GCSEs) because although we almost all went on to the Sixth Form at the same school, uniform ended in the Upper Fifth, just guidelines for dress in the Sixth.
So we organised that each of the 4 classes in the year of 100 would dye their uniform shirts the same colour. So one class had orange, one green, one pink, and one purple. My form was pink, and two girls in each class took home the whole form's shirts so they ended up uniform different colours....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
