I sent that to DH yesterday, saying that'll teach him to take a job that requires you give six months notice to quit (previous one was 3 months). He starts new job tomorrow.

    Good luck mr V.

First days are exciting and tiring and can test the nerves.

Thanks for the good wishes peeps.

It's not too bad as it's a promotion in the same company, so he knows the culture and a lot of the people. It is in a different building though.

Tinned plum tomatoes are great with breakfast IMO. Quite like then on toast too.

Not sure I've tried tinned plum tomatoes. I will give them a go.

Edit. Just checked the cupboard, and I have tried tinned large plum tomatoes that have been peeled. Why do they take the skins out? Surely that's the most nutritious part?

I thought all whole tinned tomatoes were plum tomatoes.

Are you defecting? I'm disappointed already.

You can get tinned yellow tomatoes and cherry ones too at Sainsbury. The yellow ones were nice if a little bland. The cherry ones are quite strong. I prefer standard tinned plum ones, pref a good make. I bulk buy when on offer as the price has really shot up over the past few years.

I'm sure I could think up some experiments involving chocolate and warm bodies though....

I was drinking coffee when I read that. Almost choked! :)

Not defecting, just my misunderstanding what plum tomatoes are.

I'm amazed how much discussion tinned tomatoes causes, though.

The only tomato I eat is in ketchup; can't bear the texture, not too keen on the taste.
