IN my local paper it's a photo of two girl twins with identical grades one going to oxbrigde the other into dentistry!:D

In my local paper it has a picture of Berkhamsted shaped as a penis. There's no room for A level grades. People are already asking if anatomically speaking, Tring is a sh*t place to live.

There's a thread on the debate board about them:

Often carefree, cash-rich and keen to hang on to their youthful vigour, Britain’s over-50s have been dubbed the ‘Superboomers’.
Wealthier, healthier and more active than their predecessors, a report says this generation are leading subtle shifts in society.
Having climbed the career ladder when the economy was booming, this group has a respect for life experience and the insights that come with age, it is said.

    .;)
..well, he isn't hitting the criteria so it's A Fail.

Not carefree as there are still lots of tasks to complete (such as finish 1 X Georgian 4 storey cottage full renovation that has been a total 'Onion House', even has slugs living in the walls...and then sorting out Dream House ...which will probably take him to the end of his life)

Cash Rich? Nope, cos we spent it all. Well, not all as we put by a 'fund' but every other penny is allocated to various projects.

youthful vigour, he's bearing up but his knees are shot and he has to lag the loft this week so Building Control can sign us off. They will be double shot after that.

this group has a respect for life experience and the insights that come with age I don't think that's any different to any other period though but he has this so 1 X YES.

Around £600.00 per month. It's difficult for London/Herts folk to comprehend, I know.

Fix at under 5% would see a mortgage covered. It's more that it is underpriced and a presumption that the area is going to improve, based on the new bridge, which is generally thought to be helpful, + it has been announced in the last two weeks that Halton residents will have free travel over the bridge. Runcorn generally is improving already and it 'feels' as if there is more of a positive vibe around. I know 'feels' is nebulous, but I've always been good at picking up on that kind of thing at an early point and it's been something I've been aware of for about a year, shops appearing, places looking a bit smarter, houses been done up, that kind of thing.

Biggest downside is having been out of the rental market, I'm not sure if the area is saturated with properties available to rent.

Stalk a bit of stuff on RM and Zoopla. See how long it takes to rent out......or you could call up a few agents and pretend to want to rent. See what they say.
    Lol.

I'd invite you and them to supper, often.

I don't think I want any more ( apart from GDb doglet) and I am really sort of looking forward to being a two dog house. But I wish I could have my cake and eat it. Though I don't want any more I do wish I could also have an Italian greyhound ( wouldn't be in any way feasibly here with the other dogs) or a saluki ( one of my dream dogs) or an afghan ( when we have a live in groomer). Or a silken windhound ( apart from dog dog who sure is a windhound...seriously, you make a new breed and you call it WIND hound? ) or a borzoi. Fir would want more big dogs. I've had a lot of big dogs. It will be like the end of family when big dog goes. :o

I am guessing she recovered OK from her illness last year. She could go on for a good few years.

A 'Sold' sign appeared next door today. I also bumped into that neighbour this evening. It went SSTC on the first set of viewings (open day) around Easter. She's moving in about 6 weeks.

    Will delete:

My question the other night. It's very bad. :(
    sorry to read that.

    Notes from fir today:

I was given career advice by a bunch of ten year olds (I assume that's how old they were). They were misbehaving terribly in the changing room, singing and carrying on. Then suddenly one of them, with a huge out of control Afro turned round and said to me 'you look like Simon Bird'.

    Me: 'who is Simon Bird'

Other cocky looking ten year old: 'you know man, from the Inbetweeners'

Afro kid: 'yeah you look just like him, same hair, glasses..."

Cocky kid: 'All you need is a shirt and then you can be on tv man, in a movie pie or something'

    Me: 'hmmmm, I see...well, I have a shirt'

Then they had enough of me and promptly went back to making animal noises, whooping and carrying on.

Funny you should ask. I've had an email this afternoon (cue my vision going slightly funny and me breaking out in a cold sweat).

Final version to supervisor - Oct 31st
    Submit - Dec 31st :eek::eek:
    Or that's it. :eek::eek::eek:

Either way, I shouldn't be spending next summer with this hanging over me :j

Head down, do as GBD says, break it up into bite size chunks if possible and just work to the deadline. You'll get a rush at the end and a bit if adrenalin will help you complete it. Good luck :)

We're thinking of having her PTS before winter. She's ok. But she's not the kind of dog we want to get to be not ok.

While recovering last year she was very unpleasant to every one. :(.

Nikkster, I'm not quoting as you want to delete a different part, but the cannabis factory, could you smell it from the street? My brother had one that was busted near his old house. They kept flying over it in a helicopter (we think with thermal imaging). But according to his son (who was 9 at the time) it "sort of had a herbal smell"...

Another car in addition to the Audi A1 has made it onto my radar. It's the Mazda 2. Has anyone got one, had one or know anybody who has one and is willing to give me their opinion?

I meant I'll delete everything after that bit :)

Nope - not a clue. I don't think I've ever walked directly outside it though.

Noticed the 'To Let' sign this week, and what looked like the start of renovations. One of the renovators was wearing what looked like a dust mask, but I just though it was good practice for dusty renovating

Apparently one of the blinds fell down, and a passing patrol (it's a main road) noticed the lamps. They'd bypassed the elec meters (which seems to be standard in these situations when you read about them in the papers), so good job the place didn't blow up really.

I have found someone -facebook recommendation, so friend of a friend of a friend -who power washes drives during the evenings as a second job. He came round tonight to quote. Don't know what he does during the day, but he is doing this to earn some extra £££. Looks about 30, married with 2 kids , I'm impressed that he is prepared to go out every evening to earn money on top of his day job. My dilemma is he is charging half the going rate, I told him he was reasonable and booked him, but wondering if I should say that he should be charging more.
