Re: colours - if you are theming then matching it or trying to compliment something you already own would be a good idea. Is there something owned and staying? It's easier to pick paint to match something than start finding things to match paint. Sofa?
Owned/staying .... it's a garden. There's a patio, some rough/shabby grass and a 3-4 year old brown shed.
Brickwork is red.
Not got a sofa yet.
The table/chairs, maybe I wasn't clear, are garden furniture
My front door, that won't be near it, but I like the colour, is a sort of green ... a "light pastel sage" .... er, run out of words to describe it.
A bit like this: http://s7g1.scene7.com/is/image/BandQ/5010212571569_001c_v001_zp?$173x173_generic$= - but a bit lighter....
Don't ask me to describe colours, I can only name about 10.0 -
Time to give up that new found social life?!
It's a good job I had a super-sociable weekend last weekendNot a deadline in 2 months time for the whole thing though. What I suspect is needed is to break this big task up into small, manageable tasks, each with a deadline. It also needs a rather helpful supervisor available to deal with any difficulties, eg references that can't be found.
Ahem. Two and a half months. And not starting from a blank page.
It is doable. It won't be enjoyable, but it is entirely possible to meet those deadlines. Oct is tricky so would be good to get the bulk done before then. I will have to go back to what I did last year and look myself in the eye in the mirror and tell myself I can do this every morning (and most evenings)
Apologies in advance for what will be regular updates. Feel free to block me for a couple of months (or longer)

So to get the 150 points you have to spend £50 in one transaction. So there's no benefit to buying a card and using it (say spending £10/week for the next 5 weeks) as that doesn't get you the 150 points.
And I couldn't spend it on filling up an empty tank because the Mr T fuel is 1-2p/litre more expensive than other local/closer petrol stations. There's almost nothing else in life that costs £50+ on a regular basis (where regular means 3-4x a year).
Or did I misunderstand and the transaction is the purchasing OF the card, not the spending from it?
Yup, purchasing the card gets you 150 points. Plus the spend £50 get 2p/ litre off fuel means you can fill up whilst you are there.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I don't think it needs to match, Your living room will be white and it is its own room....
On the paints doozer linked to there is a group of four colours ( I know they are the wrong paints but the group is 'beachy' IMO, not bold nor pastel. The pale greeny colour, the grey, the yellow cream, the sandy yellow. I'd want a washed out creamy white and a blue too. I'd do the shed in either the grey and washed out white or the creamy yellow.
I'd do the furniture in the yellow, and then, blue, the green, the white / yellow you didn't use. ( how many chairs?) I'd do the shed in simple stripes. If the furniture is wood in slats I'd do it in modern irregular stripes. Mainly the dark sandy yellow for sand and joie de vivre, the the others for other beach colours. This would call to mind the sea and also modern take on deck chairs. Quite funny.0 -

But the clever bit is it isn't really spending as you are buying a card that you can use to pay off the credit card you did the buying with in the first place so it doesn't matter how much you spend or don't spend on food.....I think....0 -

This is a useful thing for me thanks. Bothering to order Annie sloane paint involves enthusiasm. Deciding to go to b and q one morning does not. I might have a play with some of that.0 -

OMG (sorry, couldn't help it) we had heavy rain here today. It started with rain so heavy it was bouncing off the pavements like Tigger. It was proper tropical rain, never seen anything like it in this country before. Then finished with bad flooding. Today is a good day to live on top of a hill around these parts. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Indeed, two and a half months.
Pomodoro timer may help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique
Quite frankly, just making a really, really detailed list of what needs to be done may help. At least I find it helps. Plus I reward myself with a nice cup of Earl Grey at 25 minute intervals or something stronger, but only after crossing at least one item off the list.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
