You mean there's an upper limit? * confused *.
Actually I wouldn't dare think, rescues would shut down....
Lol.
I'd invite you and them to supper, often.
I don't think I want any more ( apart from GDb doglet) and I am really sort of looking forward to being a two dog house. But I wish I could have my cake and eat it. Though I don't want any more I do wish I could also have an Italian greyhound ( wouldn't be in any way feasibly here with the other dogs) or a saluki ( one of my dream dogs) or an afghan ( when we have a live in groomer). Or a silken windhound ( apart from dog dog who sure is a windhound...seriously, you make a new breed and you call it WIND hound? ) or a borzoi. Fir would want more big dogs. I've had a lot of big dogs. It will be like the end of family when big dog goes.0 -
Notes from fir today:
I was given career advice by a bunch of ten year olds (I assume that's how old they were). They were misbehaving terribly in the changing room, singing and carrying on. Then suddenly one of them, with a huge out of control Afro turned round and said to me 'you look like Simon Bird'.
Me: 'who is Simon Bird'
Other cocky looking ten year old: 'you know man, from the Inbetweeners'
Afro kid: 'yeah you look just like him, same hair, glasses..."
Cocky kid: 'All you need is a shirt and then you can be on tv man, in a movie pie or something'
Me: 'hmmmm, I see...well, I have a shirt'
Then they had enough of me and promptly went back to making animal noises, whooping and carrying on.0 -
I'm not really interested in it as a rental proposition. But Bugslet has sold it to me for capital appreciation. So, if she does not want it ....
I'm better at selling it to you than I am myself!
lir, I plan to reduce my pack, but then I go on to Klein Spitz welfare and , well, you know.
I'd never heard of Silken Windhounds before, had to look them up. They are very beautiful and very hound-y.0 -
Ummm... how is thesis v2.0 going?
Funny you should ask. I've had an email this afternoon (cue my vision going slightly funny and me breaking out in a cold sweat).

Or that's it. :eek::eek::eek:
Either way, I shouldn't be spending next summer with this hanging over me :j0 -

Time to give up that new found social life?!
My phone seems to be dying - it keeps switching off, convinced it is overheating except it is actually much cooler than it normally gets when in use.... hopefully it will live long enough for me to get all the data off and then I will try a software reset in case that is the problem. I have heard of the thermostat failing on a car and a boiler before...but on a phone?!
Edit I guess I shoudl add that it is at least 2 years old, has been droppped countless times onto concrete and a couple of weeks ago I dropped it into the kids paddling pool....I think....0 -

To be honest I like looking at estate agent house info but there has to be a floorplan or I'm left with too many unanswered questions.
My sentiments exactly!neverdespairgirl wrote: »Nice one!
Now only GCSE results to go and that's your lot for another year.
Thank you.
Actually, this year I haven't got any GCSE results because I didn't have a Y11 set. Just as well, really, because next Thursday I'll be sitting in court with my mind on other things.
Talking of court and school in the same sentence ... I have realised what I need to spend all that time doing, and that's writing exam questions. I'm Y9 coordinator for physics next year, so have to set two internal exams for them, and all the questions we've got were either on last year's paper (which they can keep if they want to) or on last year's revision pack (which they've all got). So I think rather than rooting about for obscure and probably badly written questions that the students might not have seen, I'll just write some new ones from scratch. Should make quite a good activity for when there's nothing going on in court, I think.Funny you should ask. I've had an email this afternoon (cue my vision going slightly funny and me breaking out in a cold sweat).

Good. A deadline is just what I would need if I were you.
In fact, a deadline is just what I need right now to make me do some housework, and since the babysitter will be here in an hour, I've got one!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Both other tubs immediately got cooked & crumbled.
