Yes, but no, possibly. The chances are that the curtain pole has been sited so as to suit a standard size set of curtains. If you add rings and hang the curtains lower, standard ones may not fit. You need to measure carefully.
Is this for a bedroom that you need to black out for sleeping? Otherwise, you can use the builders trick of windolene on the glass to obscure it until you sort the curtains out. If privacy is important.
Pastures can you sew to take up curtains?
I can hand sew or machine if help is needed.0 -
I'm really quite weed off about this. "I've not been able to make a judgement about your performance this half year due to your illness. However, there is nothing you can do between now and the end of the year to make me want to renew your contact".
Onanists.
I'm outraged on your behalf. Particularly as you made so much effort to work when you could.
I'd be tempted to get "signed off" for a few weeks now, so you can fully rest and recuperate.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It could work in Gen's favour if he shorts the stock.
Wouldn't that be insider trading?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

A surprising number of words are common these days in both Hebrew and Arabic....
Just as a surprising number are common only between English and Arabic...... 'Imshi' (go away) is a word familiar to all middle east expat brats that is peculiar to Egyptian Arabic and English as spoken by British Officers and middle east expats.
The linguistic intricacies are fascinating. I wish I had spent more time learning Arabic in my youth....
Only time I've been in a part of the world that needed that language, it ended up the main words we all had to use were "la shukran", repeatedly.:(PasturesNew wrote: »What they might do though is call you into the office and present you with a member of staff ... and your new role is to pass on and teach your role to this person before you leave - and to write a full procedures manual for what you do. Of course, you know that it can't be taught as it's the culmination of years of experience as well as intelligence and insight others don't have..... but it still sticks in the craw.
A surprising amount of what is best practice is difficult to put into words. I know someone who's uni were put on the spot when there was an academic exercise by a government bean-counting outfit trying to get them to break down how to recognise the parts or attributes of first class degree-level work. They refused to accept that outstanding work is by definition pretty hard to break down to descriptors. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Pencil pleat curtains usually have 3 rows of strings that you can put the hooks through, so that gives you a little bit of wiggle room for adjusting the height.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I even heard that some Scots can be observed using a rudimentary form of English. I have my doubts personally. Can you shed any light on this theory?
It is very rudimentary.
Particularly late on a weekend night....:beer:The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am about work. !!!!!!.
Meh.

Wouldn't that be insider trading?
No because I don't have true inside knowledge I can trade off.
insider trading is when you trade off knowledge which is not publicly available. I have an opinion which I have formed as a result of working in the company but that isn't knowledge it's just my opinion.
Knowledge is stuff like seeing the books or knowing that there's a bid in the offing. It's not understanding that a company is simply run and staffed very badly.
Ultimately the company won't go bust. It'll be taken over by a foreign firm that wants an in to the Aussie market, perhaps a large Chinese firm. That's the big shorting opportunity, when some mug buys them.0
