There was a mulberry bush in the college garden that was fruiting when we got married in the college chapel and had our photos in the garden. My white satin shoes got mulberry stains on them.

were you married where late mil is sprinkled? There are two there?

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:
How could anyone feel OK about wearing that in public?????

    Please remember that
    a) You are beautiful.
    b) You have a wonderful personal sense of style.
    c) You are going to the gaudy to have a fun evening with fir and his friends, not to model on a catwalk. By the time they have spent an evening in your company, his friends will have a mental "picture" of you as a person who makes interesting conversation and is making fir happy, and whose clothes are merely one aspect of the totality of who she is.

Yeah, but its all ok , cos I probably cannot go now. Phew, :D

I have a BMW series 1. It is all of the things you are looking for. It is a bit too sporty for me, but my OH and DD really like driving it.

Mine is automatic but has a number of driving style options..nit that I trouble them.

My Nissan Juke passes all those, though it is a bit of a marmite car.

Thanks for those ideas. Is the BMW rwd? I am a rubbish driver in snow. An old company car of mine was a 3 series which I kept over Summer then swapped with one of my colleagues when I couldn't drive it. Got a Golf GTI instead.

With regard to the Juke, it's not a bad idea but I want to get something a bit shorter so I can finally fit into all of those dinky parking spaces I currently have to drive past when street parking for work.

So sorry, that's another two criteria added.

The question of what to wear to the inquest is now getting really pressing. I would have some options if it were winter, but am not sure if any of them will really do in August. Even though my solicitor's not going with me, I might phone her tomorrow for sartorial advice.

A very large pair of dark glasses?

Seriously, will anyone recognise you? Standard court attire for men is a suit. I'd have thought that would work well for a lady, too. The sort of thing I imagine (but may be wrong) that you wear to work.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It's about choosing an outfit "fit for the proceedings", so one doesn't look careless, flippant, joyous, inappropriate, disrespectful etc..... a nice, quiet, sombre, sensible outfit....... that's also comfy, doesn't crease and (hopefully) is already somewhere in the cupboards to be rediscovered (so no more shopping is required).

I've an NP arriving ....soon. Depending how easy my house is to find. So I had a quick bath .... which now means I am sweating :)
    Not a good look.
    Oh well.

So now I have NP meet up envy *again"!
That's a beautiful dress I think, but in thing will be too much . The room will be full of dark colours. Lots of people will be in evening suits, and lots in academic gowns. I think some thing dark, but not black, and quite understated is my best bet, ( though that's as not me as blue and silver, lol. Not dark, I wear black happily! )

If you like wearing black, there's no reason why you shouldn't wear black to a gaudy. Last time I was at one there were plenty of women in black. I don't wear black - it makes me look ill. My one and only "wear when it's black tie" dress is deep purple.
We'd need a troop of people I think. :(. I might try and take a picture later. We have a smaller maintenance job this morning, and then some painting to get done if possible before rain starts.

    NP working party?

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I asked OH:o he said it is RWD.

I am OK at driving in snow and DD did a skid pan course to help her.

Nope, pn's are all busy with their own projects :)

How are you feeling? Have jabs proved useful at all? I still expect general life overwhelm, but...is there any physical improvement?

Do you know what your day off next term will be? See if we can arrange something to counter that envy situation.

I also want to invite spirit to the Wreckstoration some time soon ish, should she be game, so don't know if any other nice people would like to turn into a 'ladies lunch' thing? spirit, my dogs are other dog friendly, but playful. If you dog is up to it, and chicken safe he'd be welcome. ( he could hide in the house if he decides he hates them)

    Thanks for those ideas. .

I tried the A1 when I bought mine and liked it..then a picture of an Allegro that my dad once owned came to mind...and that was enough for me to decide ...no not this time...in fact it sent me to look at the TT and EOS before I made a decision.

Bearing in mind I was moving on from a 10 year old Yaris, that was quite an impactful flashback.
