I think it was that "your people are not like her people" :P
I bet she goes in your loo and thinks "pfft.... should have had glitter in that grout"
Did I really say that?:o Annoyingly I can't find what I posted.
I think it is more that I don't know how friendly I should be.Yes we did and offered top tips on what not to do, and you had already transgressed some:)
Excellent. He is probably looking forward to showing her off.
When she arrives you may want to wear curlers and I suggest Mr Silvercar has an open necked shirt and medallion. To set the scene for the accommodation arrangements you might want to set yourslf up a camp bed outside of DS2's room. To ensure his safety.
He's won on the accommodation arrangements

Just back from the fish stall.
A dozen crevettes (for Paella)
Swordfish loin (Dinner for me tonight)
Two large plaice (Dinner for tomorrow)
The fishmonger forgot to fillet the plaice.
Urgent Advice required: Do I go back or do it myself risking creating fish mince?
3 mile, 10 minute drive & park to village square.
Cook the fish on the bone, it will come away easily when cooked. If you can't bear to bring it to table on the bone, fillet just before serving.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Oh well .... they've been filled now with: knickers, socks, bras/tights/etc. So that's 3 drawers with stuff in them.

I'd be a rubbish witness.
Found the conversation, it was all on NP-11 rather than NP-12. Re-read the advice from spirit and lir. Anyway it isn't this weekend, so more time to pick up tips/ tidy the tip.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You know what? I reckon everybody probably puts their foot in it at some point in these sorts of things. Just recognise it and move forward if you do.
Be your kind self and relax. Don&'the ask about her family, do ask about her. Remember to say ...' If there is anything you need /want please tell me' even if you don't normally, so that she feels comfortable. And say something lovely about her to your son. ' she is SO pretty!' Or 'she was very easy to have around' anything you can say genuinely. He might be over defensive with manly hormones of love/list, a genuinely compliment is always the best way to go IMO.. I think you'll do fine.

Just had another go at the fabric wardrobe. I figured that the first bit I built/broke was an "extra top bit" and I could still build a basic hanging rail from the rest for now .... well, that didn't go well at all.
I've broken the plastic frame in two more places trying to fit it together.
It's a write off now really.0 -
Playing catch up. Still only on last night...
It's a long time since I've seen mention of them, but this struck me as a Darwin Award contender.lemonjelly wrote: »I don't kill, or really remove spiders. I assume they'll eat all the other creepy crawlies.:)
That's my thought. In my house, if I see a little spider, I say "morning Incy Wincy". If it's a big one, it's more "morning Biggsy Wiggsy", then I hide it somewhere before DH sees it.lemonjelly wrote: »I took my car to my folks yesterday. Yay, finally. You've waited a long time for this lj.
