Oh well .... they've been filled now with: knickers, socks, bras/tights/etc. .
Sounds very homely.
Although you may want to take some knickers back out and drape them over radiators a la LiR.
I am imagining underwear bunting at LiR's house.0 -

Just back from the fish stall.
A dozen crevettes (for Paella)
Swordfish loin (Dinner for me tonight)
Two large plaice (Dinner for tomorrow)
The fishmonger forgot to fillet the plaice.
Urgent Advice required: Do I go back or do it myself risking creating fish mince?
3 mile, 10 minute drive & park to village square.0 -

I'm in Brixton Village. Just Wow. An assault on the senses, this place as AMAZING! I'm in a little place that sells dumplings and not much else. Street food and fabric and fish and meat and sponges and champagne and iberico ham and vintage clothing and cheese and sweets and mothballs and... (Passes out through excitement)
I think even my slightly 80s outfit looks quirky here rather than eccentric 80s mother that it does at home.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Fish are generally easy to fillet: cut 'em up the middle and pull the guts out with your fingers. I've never filleted a plaice though. I can't imagine it's any different from any other fish though just thinner.
Then run the knife up the ribs from the tail up.
I'd go back to get it scaled though. That's a pita of a job.0 -
Genero, there was a mulberry tree in Norwood Grove. We used to take marg boxes and clip them onto our bikes and pick them. Lovely. I've not had since, but I still remember the flavour - awesome. The tree was climable(sp?) for a not very adventurous me. I'd get in trouble if my socks got dirty.
I get round that by not really wearing socks anymore.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I did have a few bits left over - I looked at the diagram... they were little white plastic bits and they seemed to be something one screwed into the back.... but I didn't really understand why, or how ... and the diagram added no help as to precisely where they should be going, or why .... so I didn't use them
From the diagram I guessed: "These look like they're to make it firmer, but I really can't see where to screw them, or which way round .... and they're just little bits of plastic, so I can't see how they'd make any difference..... "
Might be time to dig out the leaflet again ....
Flat pack furniture makers often provide solutions that work on a lowest common denominator level. Some people don't own a hammer, so the makers supply some fiddly plastic bits that sort of do instead of nails.
You don't have to do this precisely the way it's set out in the instructions. You own it, so you can stick nails or glue in if that makes it work better for you.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
