Pastures, if you're still around at this time, there's a special programme "Who Do They Think They Are? 10 Years, 100 Shows" starting at 10.35 on BBC1. New series starts tomorrow at 9pm. You seem to have been enjoying re-runs recently, so thought would try let you know.

I missed this. I was watching Secrets of the Clink I think :)
    Cheers

Actually, to be precise, I was flicking round and saw the title and didn't even check what it was.... an hour later I was flicking round again and saw the title and it was just finishing, so I switched over and found it was an ancestry "your relation was in prison for..." programme and I'd missed it. So I flicked to IVT+1 to watch it ... and promptly nodded off. So still not seen it.

I wanted to ask the question the other night, but didn't ... so here I'll ask it. I wonder how many people will burn their house down when lighting a candle of remembrance at 10pm on the 4th

We might do this in our bathroom. I want a rad in there for the cats to sleep on and on which to dry knickers. :)

Why do you need to dry knickers on it?

For a room not designed for spending time in, it is a waste to give it too much room.

Until so many of you commented how big it is, I hadn't thought of it as big. In fact, my first thought on the grey theme was that we better have light grey on the walls so it won't appear small!

I bought that grey towel to co-ordinate and was thinking of sourcing a similar colour soap dispenser. Now I'm thinking it may be nice to introduce a contrasting colour, so maybe a bright red towel, pot pouri bowl and picture.

It's not too big in my view. It's just right in fact.

I would have probably put a full length mirror on the wall beside or the wall in front of the toilet, but that's just me and it would also make the room appear larger.

BTW, if your ever looking for your vacuum cleaner nozzle then it's on your bathroom windowsill. ;)

Oh dear. On the plus side, to put it into perpective, just across the Midlands, the reduced demand on the network was the equivalent of 5,000,000 light bulbs - and only one numpty, nationally.

Started pinching the blackberries from the neighbours brambles. Small ice cream tub half full. Hopefully that will encourage more to ripen.
I then spent an hour trying to figure a way into next doors garden (it's unoccupied currently, though it appears to have been sold).

Since pruning, the tomato plants have gone mad. Lots of extra flowers, as well as fruits popping up. I left some branches on which I'll remove either this or next weekend.

Been scoffing the homegrown lettuce, whilst planting more.

There is an apple tree in the garden, but I don't know what kind of apple tree it is. My brother has 2 cooking apple trees, which provides much crumbles & pies.

DD was off yesterday and as well as riding and dog walking she went blackberrying (not far, our hedgerow). They are now in the freezer awaiting apples ripening to be turned into pies and crumble.

    Say what?
Not sure if that's a posh alert, or chav alert.:D

Nikkster suggested it and found examples on Pinterest that I liked, but my men ruled out. Then PN owned up to having glitter grout on the floor of her downstairs loo.

I thought I recognised the flat in the photo (style, not specific one), but a lot of council flats look the same across a town ... so I looked up the address and it was on the estate where I grew up. Round the corner from my house. My friend had a flat in that road.

It's magnificent .... mine's done in an "... understated, yet stylishly chic ... " manner, not chav-like. Although some examples are definitely full on chav.

It does bring a small smile to your face when you are in the bathroom or loo :)

A little glittery bit of joy in one's life.... a bit of glittery joy that silvercar's family denied her.

I'd have never chosen it ... I'd have scoffed in the face of anybody suggesting it .... but now I have it, have seen it, I'd recommend it.....
