My first car was a midget.
You had an MG?! The first car I bought when I qualified was an MG. I kept it for quite a few years, until we had our first child.
Then a variet of sensible family saloons, including the all powerful Peugeot 505 family estate that NDG raves about, and then the MX5, known as the babe wagon.
Thinking back, very few of our cars have been sold or part exchanged. Several have been driven into the ground, then scrapped. DW wrote three off in crashes, and lived to tell the tale, thank goodness. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

No symptoms. If everyone that had flown through one of the 4 airports that the guy that died had travelled through, now put themselves in quarantine, there would be a lot in isolation.
DS2 flew from one of those airports 4 days later. I'm hoping the virus couldn't survive for that long.
There was a paper linked here a few days ago about Ebola. The paper was about testing for the virus in various swabs taken in an Ebola isolation ward. The swabs dipped in blood etc all proved positive. Swabs of bedside tables, bed frames etc were almost all completely blank. Even the skin swabs taken from Ebola patients were mostly blank.
So, I don't think there's any chance of your son catching ebola just from touching something that guy touched four days ago.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I saw a TV show where a group of I think journos were put in charge of cobra during a simulated terror attack on London and one option was to scramble fighters and take down the dodgy looking incoming flight before it was over London. It was altogether a very weird programme which I decided had been deliberately put out to misinform about uk readiness, it suggested amongst other things that underground flood doors had been installed on the tube so that a tunnel breach under the Thames could be isolated without the whole system flooding.....
This is an interesting link about that. It seems that many of the flood gates are still in place but very few are operational.
