We're doing DD's room. She's picked a beautiful teal glass lamp
and lightshade with a cooper interior - quite bedouin
A girl with excellent taste. My current idea for my bedroom is teal/ grey with copper things.
I've already got an eye out - have bought a copper jewellery stand. Would she like to come and interior design my house?0 -

Mr Spiri bought me a Midge for my birthday the year after we married.
I still have it!0 -

So, Rapnoc is the neighbours' dog, but why is it called that?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Cat.
I call it that. They call it something like blacky or Oliver or kitty.
I cannot remember.
Rap noc is short for rapacious -nocturne. Because that's a little bit of a mouthful. And cats aren't keen on sssssss sounds. ( cannot spell the word tonight because of brain but can say it. Si Boh Lents0 -

I met a cat this evening. That is the first time I've seen a cat in my garden. It was sitting on the shed roof when I went out to harvest a couple of chillis (:)) for my dinner. I'm not sure who was more surprised. It hid behind some branches, but I managed to catch it's eye. We eyed each other up for a bit. It then tried crouching on the far side of the shed roof. I found it's eye-line again though.
Nice looking cat.
Good news and bad news tonight.
Bad news first:
-Writing not going well
-Mr LovelyNeighbour knocked on the door to tell me his neighbour on the other side had been broken into today (they are away). I half jokingly said I'd be giving them a call if I ever heard anything overnight. He said I was welcome toand also told me to get another (!!!!!! scary looking) neighbours number too. More about him next...
Good news
-Aforementioned neighbour has invited me to a neighbourly barbeque on Saturday afternoon with the LovelyNeighbours. Apparently all I need to do is bring some beer (sure I can manage that...). Wondering whether I need to take some G+T round too? This will be my first homeowner-neighbour function! Who starts the groin thrusting?
- There is going to be an open-air cinema thing in town on Thurs. They're showing The Goonies, which I've managed to never see before. Not sure what came over me, but rather than just toddling off on my own I mentioned it to a friend at work this afternoon.
- I think I've also been invited on a night out on Friday. 3 possible social activities in a row
- Finally got 2nd door man round this evening. Liked 1st door man better, but think 2nd door man might give me what I want. I do have a couple of questions though....0 -
You had an MG?! The first car I bought when I qualified was an MG. I kept it for quite a few years, until we had our first child.
s.
That is not really trying hard enough.
An MG Midge with a baby seat and small baby in it, and a Flat Coat retriever in as well.
I can't believe I used to do that:eek:
It was my only car until she was three. Getting a toddler out of Midge when the roof is up, in the rain. *shudders*0
