    Since I turned the aerial up full - and knew which way to "point it" might be right ... I seem to have more channels/a better signal.

    Cheers NPs ... this looks like it might be working. Only time will tell though.

    You didn't say whether you retuned the free view box, so I suspect you haven't. Retune = do a channel search. This is because different transmitters use different frequencies, so as to avoid clashes with other transmitters. As you have moved, you may be in the area fir a different transmitter.

    . So, my advice is to plug into the proper aerial socket and do a channel search. If that doesn't work then plug into the portable aerial, point it in the right direction and do a channel search again.
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    I'm pretty sure I witnessed retuning of the freeview box... Multiple times!

    It was lovely, really wonderful. The sort of day that after the kids have gone away and started their own families will pop into my brain to remind me of what a very lucky man I am.

    I'm so glad you had a lovely day! :j Having fun is very healing. Hugs and vibes from Bwlchtocyn.

    Ooh .... moussaka for one for tea?

    I hate aubergines.... love moussaka .... but never have it because it has aubergines in it. I do plan, one day, making one using sliced spuds though, instead.

    TBH I've always fancied myself as a bit of a photographer. I like to try to capture the spirit of an event/person as much as what is actually happening.

    This is one of my favourite photos of The Girl:
    <snip>
    It was taken at a wedding at the point where the kids start getting bored before the food starts. She was sword fighting with these beautiful dead plants stems.

    Gorgeous photo, gorgeous Girl in very pretty dress - was she a bridesmaid? Love the rose on the red ribbon sash. :)

    I did say I thought it was a stupid question! I'm surprised that the previous occupiers did not have a working TV aerial though.

    It's always worth asking the stupid question (out that's what I tell myself anyway!). My guess I'd that's it's to do with what doozergirl mentioned - Sky, and that some switch has been flicked somewhere.
