Maggie, bay is one of those things that always dies on me.

Today I have mostly been to the dentist... one decayed wisdom tooth out, at least six fillings...
It's three hours and I still feel like a gopher but, on the other hand, at least my nose isn't numb any more.PasturesNew wrote: »Wasn't part of any decent food plan I had going on ....

Tom continues to take on the world.
Its really very attractive. Gopher looks or not.0 -
Just trialling my new white/cheap table in the corner as my TV, phone, aerial, broadband hub table .... see how that looks for a few days.
The table I had been using was a 1960s small side table, made in the 1960s by my parents' neighbour, who had fitted four dinette legs to a piece of formica. And it was purple/black....
I'm not an interior designer .... things aren't "placed for effect" .... table has been plonked in the corner and everything else will be plonked on top .... see how it works.0 -

I had mine out when I was 17. It was fantastic. I stopped having headaches. Well.....for a while! Rofl
Fwiw, I should say I am in a lot less regular neurological pain ATM.. The change in dosages and pills are definitely helping with that. I have some different symptoms, nothing like as irksome, just have to get used to them. But pain is nothing like it has been as a sustained thing. I wonder if the weather is helping too?0 -
That is a beautiful tree, no Pn, I didn't know what it was;rubbish at identifying trees, but I do like being amongst themI think actually what people should learn from my story is the importance of having adequate life insurance.

I would do, but hav no-one to leave anything to anyway. Everything else is insured though.Today I have mostly been to the dentist... one decayed wisdom tooth out, at least six fillings...

:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jDo you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Me !
Last year when we were in Cyprus, we went to see the Monastery of St Nicholas of the cats.

Anyway, there's an olive orchard in front of it and I thought it would be a good idea to pick and eat a raw olive. Bitter! And a bitterness that stays for hours in your mouth. Yes, I do silly things.
We also have an olive tree in the garden, but it's about 3 feet tall.0 -

Makes sense. Couples who rely on each other's income should have some, though, and couples who rely on each other's income to bring up kids even more so. Ideally a policy that will pay out a monthly income until the kids grow up as well as a lump sum, now that widowed parent's allowance (ie benefit) is being cut to just the first year after the death for new deaths. (This will save a proportionately minuscule amount of the welfare budget, win no Brownie points with anti-lifestyle-benefit-scrounging voters because nobody thinks getting widowed is a lifestyle choice, and make life a lot harder for bereaved children and their surviving parents, who are NOT all hunky dory after the first year.)
ATM I only have the death in service element of my teacher's pension. Considering how much I've already claimed for LNE's death, I've enough to leave my kids without a separate policy on top of what the TPA would give them. I do have cover for getting too ill to be able to work, though.Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
