I have some YS fish-free 'scampi' (never tried it before, expect I won't be rushing out to buy it again!) for dinner - assuming I make it that far today! It will be accompanied by some Sains Basics mushy peas.
On the basis I am prepared to forgo the brown/crispy bit .... I bet they nuke up a treat.
I will get round to cleaning the oven/shelves .... and daring to turn it on at some point .... just not today.
As for the gas hob ..... er .... never used a gas hob in my life, so turning that on will take me a little longer to get round to.0 -
Wonder what I should put as my "pearl of wisdom" about how I did it? Can't say I'd recommend having your kids' dad die so you can claim the life insurance, pension, and compensation. It's very beneficial financially but the other aspects of it are rather significant drawbacks.
Tricky .... do you need a badge?
I'd not want a ticky tacky badge. It's just a forum - you're better than that.0 -

Dunno. Will see what I feel like. I've been eating rather a lot recently so it would probably be a good idea to skip the chips. But the way today's going I'll probably get some chips from the chippie (no oven...) and open a beer to wash it all down with!0 -

Pfft, my badge has changed my life. Its like a blue peter badge, people bow and scrape and you get free entry into the zoo and stuff.0 -

Be careful with bay if you're thinking of that.
No pruning ever required, as such - just once it gets big enough the lower leaves dry out and hang down - just tug them and they come away, exposing the raw trunk, that then hardens and creates a longer trunk... and up it goes.
I plan to put it in a big tub to limit its growth too.... don't want 20' ones looming about.0 -
Ah, so glad to be back!
Need to pop into London proper, and I'll catch up on the NPT.
Viva, can I have that link please?💙💛 💔0 -

I'm not big on badges, clubs, memberships and creating arbitrary online community feelings of "belonging" to secure people on email lists.
That's kinda why I'm not big on social (engineering) sharing sites.0 -

I bet my frozen Lidl chips nuke up a treat..... the chippy chips here are good, but there's always a big queue, you get a LOT, they cost £1.50, the shop shuts quite early.
My 59p chips don't have those issues and for 59p (three HUGE portions) it was worth a try. I wasn't thinking when I randomly bought them .... I just thought of it as I was passing and dipped into the freezer and grabbed a bag. Wasn't part of any decent food plan I had going on ....
I'm totally spontaneous0 -

I think actually what people should learn from my story is the importance of having adequate life insurance.PasturesNew wrote: »Tricky .... do you need a badge?

What I want is to pay off what I owe and so stop paying interest and start earning it instead. The badge is just a bit of fun.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
