I've been shopping at the cerebral sweet shop again.
Quite fancy this course, thought it may appeal to Doozer too...

A lot of the apples have tiny fans that tend to get clogged. No idea about Toshes.
I'm running my PC with the side of the case off. It's quieter that way.
Sssshh.
This is a terrible, terriblE secret admission.
When people Skype /face time me they cannot hear me ( or see me because I cover the camera) and they send me and tell me to vacuum the Vent y bit.
I never do. Just say I don't really get it.
And I put it in my fllthy dust handbags on purpose.
So people can only Skype /FaceTime fir.:o:o
Fwiw, they clog up very quickly if your handbags are as grubby as mine.0 -

I've also got something to confess. Before I do though, the correct answer is - no, you did everything you could. Thanks in advance.
I think two of the previous tenants (not the owners) have had a CCJ against them for not setting a bill. I'm guessing it was something along the lines of they thought it had all been sorted and the account closed down, but it turned out it hadn't. I've been returning all post for previous people to the sender. One pair of letters had a court address on the back. It was returned to sender and I wrote that the property had been sold (+ date) on the envelope.
Since last week things have been turning up with return addresses of insolvency practitioners  I opened one last week (after the couple of glasses of wine) and I think CCJs have been issued (it was junk mail, but stated CCJ)
I feel really guilty. I guess I could have got in contact with the previous owners and asked for contact details? Or emailed the local Uni, explained and asked the students to contact me (guessing they wouldn't give out email addresses). There was no post left here when I moved in (guess EA cleared it out).
I did have one note asking me to call if there was any post. Nothing arrived for a couple of weeks so I binned the note
I feel terrible.0 -
No, you did everything you could.
At some point people have to take responsibility for their own debts nikkster. You are not their keeper.0 -
I think mail without forwarding addresses etc is inevitable - and with student lets I bet it happens a lot as there are so many of them virtually 'untraceable' without a lot of faff/effort and jobsworths that you're trying to contact them through (e.g. Uni etc) would give it "data protection" in a voice that makes you feel sh1te.
I've had nothing here for the previous owners, yet .... kind of interested to get one, so I can ask the agent for an address to forward it to as I am nosey as to where she went.0 -
But I don't think they knew they were 'in debt'. I really think they thought their account had been properly closed.
I'm mainly picturing them applying for a mortgage and getting turned down and wondering why.
To a much, much lesser extent I'm picturing bailiffs turning up, and angry ex-tenants turning up :eek:0 -
Previous tenants here still so
Me times give this phone number. About three years ago it meant I ended up speaking to social services /some sort of elderly care. That they were still giving out this number, and a lot, helped them gauge their needs.
Now I cannot remember this number maybe I should tell them I need help?0
